Allow me to manage my contacts! When I DELETE email contacts I want them to STAY deleted!!
I have over 1,000 email contacts. I use about 100 of those. I have deleted the ones I don't use many many times and they continue to return. Every Craig's List Crazy, people I haven't contacted in many years - they all keep returning to my active Contacts list.

This is usually due to a syncing issue with another device that accesses the account, like a smartphone. Remove the account there, delete the duplicate/unneeded contacts, and then re-add the account.

I agree. This is ridiculous. And when I try to update my contact (change someone's name after they get married, for example), it reverts back to old name, ostensibly because it's the same email address. About to dump Yahoo because of this.
