I have paid for an account for 15 years. Why am I being subjected to ads now?

Find another revenue stream, or all these people here protesting this (far too many ads), will sign off for good.

I find a lot of the advertisements not just annoying but plain intrusive. I have tried all the ways to stop advertisements from showing up. For instance, one (when I looked further) of these ads is a company in Hong Kong which makes the most ridiculously cheap clothes. Often it shows a 90% mark down??? really? No clothmaker could stay in business with those mark downs which tells me its all fake. I have seen this on German "Yahoo" and also on the original US "Yahoo" site. I have tried to stop the ads, but they pop up within seconds of having deleted them. Yes it shows my "google" scrips that I have opted out, but it's only always for a short time and they are back.....

Exactly what others have said. I pay for a business account. I do not want my inbox spammed with advertisements. It's counterproductive and annoying as heck.

I am sick and tired of these **** ads, when I signed up for a free, not basic account YEARS back there weren't so many pop up ads in my ******* mailbox! I have an ad block for a reason, and this persistent demand to either remove that ad block or revert to a 'basic' account is infuriating and ******* insulting when I have had the same account for years! I just want to come in and check my mail, I don't want to have six billion ads blasted at me before I can even read my emails! So ******* INFURIATING!

And besides, Yahoo now requires I sign permission for "Voice" or whatever it is, before I can enter a comment. UG!

I too am sick and tired of Yahoo's ads, and am looking to find another e-mail provider. You are continually blocking me from reading my e-mails, freezing my page so I remove ad blocker. Yahoo's irresponsibility in forcing ads on me is absolutely disgusting. Ad Blocker is designed just for such stupid designers. I've used Yahoo Mail for decades, and now I must move to another e-mail provider, unless Yahoo wakes up from its stupidity..

Yahoo SUCKS! Putting ads in the news feed so that if you don't notice the 'Ad' tag, you'd think it was a news story. Deceptive at best, but despicable overall. Yahoo SUCKS. If I didn't have so many saved emails to go through, I'd have already moved to my Gmail account exclusively. I'm in the process of going through emails and notifying my contacts and will soon drop Yahoo entirely - no Yahoo mail, no reading the news/ads feed, NOTHING. And I hope that everyone else will do the same. Think about it - the ads in the news feed are bad enough, but think about how many yahoo stories are 'click bait' in that you load an article, but then have to click 'Story continues' to get the rest of the story. Click bait by definition. Yahoo SUCKS and will do anything for more $$$ to pay their CEO, executives, and shareholders. I will celebrate the day that Yahoo goes down for good... as long as I'm able to get my email moved by then.

I agree with Ruth. This stupid **** pops up at the worst times. I also have ad blocker. Doesn't seem to make any difference to you guys. You want Money for something we already have. It is total BULL!
