Ads should only be on the sides/top where they do not interfere with use of the product. Unacceptable.

Phew. What a relief to be able to pay some money to get rid of the ads, instead of paying with screen space and delays. And elevated blood pressure.

Until I have the funds to upgrade to add-free Yahoo Mail again...I have this on-going issue that none of your topics cover.
Whenever a large ad add loads to the right of my inbox...whatever email I have open and am reading, goes back to the top of the page.
It's really hard to read my emails, with this going on!!!
As a senior on a fixed income, and what with my mortgage payment having gone up by over $150 a month...due to increased property taxes and my mtg. company needing to collect more $ for the attached escrow account for same...I've lost extra money I used to have available in my budget, to upgrade to add-free Yahoo Mail.
I don't mind so much, seeing adds within my Inbox of listed emails. But being unable to read an email without it jumping back up to the top of the page when ads load to the right of the InBox...really really sucks!
Is there any way to fix this issue, until I can upgrade to ad-free email?

Add to this post if you are sick and tired of the ads Yahoo now includes into all of our email folders and pages.

#DumpYahoo is starting to trend. With the abusive ads now being received into our inboxes and folders, it's time to send Yahoo a message! "Dump the Ads or #DumpYahoo" Since the advent of these obtrusive ads, it has disrupted my emails, affected the performance of my devices, and many of the ads are offensive and demeaning to me.
If you've been a long time member of Yahoo (as I've been for over 20+years) it now has come down to a very large decision. #DumpYahoo and go thru the pains of switching email addresses from yahoo to gmail. It means over 150 password protected websites changing to my new email, banks, credit card, loans, etc all will be affected. While I really don't want to go thru all that, it may now be a pain that I will have to endure because of these offensive ads. Join me and send a message to Yahoo. Dump the ads or #DumpYahoo! -

After 20+ years of being on Yahoo and using Yahoo email, I'm just about ready to delete my account and just use Gmail as my main email account. The ads that Yahoo now include are overwhelming and some VERY OFFENSIVE, yet I continue to receive these ads. It does no good to select the "I don't like this ad" the exact same ad pops right back up. Since Yahoo started foisting these ads into our email inbox and other folders, I've only seen less than 1% that were of any interest.
What about the rest of you? Ready to #DumpYahoo ?? -

If you add the Yahoo Wider Email option, most ads disappear. It is free.

Dear Sir/Madam, Why are you advertising Dr. Chris Brown (vet) in the advertisement section of your email page, relating to Bitcoin? Why is Yahoo allowing the promotion of Bitcoin?

Hello reporting an issue with your advertising sidebar it continues to be irritating and at this point it is most irritating i dont care if it is advertising but when it reopens upon "perceived lost focus" whilst i am trying to take screen-shots of my emails and your advertisements are suddenly covering half of the page as soon as i "click out of the web browser" and it doesnt wait say 10 seconds to reappear its instantly there -.- this is the most usless and irritating implementation i have ever come across ( i know you need ads to pay for site maintenance and such) but this is rediculous.

Your new yahoo mail obscures the latest e-mail I have received with the advert on the top line. So yet again I have reverted to the old form

reduce data size of adverts they are making my computer groan - I will not buy a high spec computer with large ram just to run shite adverts -I know we have to be subjected to them to qualify for free email - but to be honest I'm less likely to look at them out of sheer bloody mindedness - I would look out of amazement if the advert did not stall everything!

There should be an option to turn on such ads if wanted. Otherwise it should not pop up automatically.
