Contacts hard to find, edit, alter, and delete
Since the new changes it has become much more difficult to search and edit or delete a single contact. It would be very helpful if a dropdown menu were available to search by several choices such as ending email address or last name or company. partial name, with the ability to select the item and go to edit.

I've added contacts to a list, but they don't appear when I actually try to attach the list to an email. I have to add them manually.

with using several mail accounts, it is very difficult to correlate contact data. As the "field definitions are either not known or other "names" are used for the same, e.g "family name" vs "last name". I like to build a converter for contact data. Can I get a description of the used fieldnames and defintions from yahoo?

Contacts are a total mess - very hard to edit/put on-take off lists - people appear multiple times in one list for unknown reasons. Just put the contacts back the way they were!!!!

Your instructions for trying to edit a contact did not work. It would only give me the option to delete the contact. The "edit connect" did appear but the hyperlink was not active and I was not able to click on that as it was grayed out.
Any other suggestions?

Cannot delete and contact when you hit compose and there are 2 almost identical, but different addresses. When I hit contact only one shows up, but both show up in e-mail when I hit compose.

Please go back to the old contact list format. I need them alphabetical by last name. I can't find what I need in a timely manner. Can't understand why you changed it. It worked fine before. Makes me angry every time!

Apparently we're stuck with the new version of email, regardless of the vast majority of people, voicing a negative view of it.
Other then that, i am totally unhappy of how the contact list is set up.
The old version was without fault, and now, your tech people created a number of faults.1. Why are my contacts listed by their 1st name and THEN, their last.
2. When I add a contact, it never seems to appear when I click on CC or BCC, in order to include them in a mailing. Numerous times, I have
forgotten that people were NOT on those lists and did not include them in important mailings. And because of that, it created some unhappy situations. Believe me, your name has been taken in vane, more than once.
3.The old list had EVERYBODY listed by their last name and you didn't have to click on an icon to ... see more listing under a letter.I'll stop here for now, and swallow the rest of my unhappiness with your ...... "better," new design. If you would, see what you can do to make the contact list a lot more user friendly,
After reading the majority of complaints on the new format, for a good length of time now, I have not seen any changes, I have to assume you really don't give a ****, what we like or don't. I hope I'm wrong !

I can still edit my contacts although many people on here seem to be missing that ability. Click on the contact, then click on the 3 dots at the top right. The choices are "edit" and "delete". The MANY other recent problems with contacts are still there, though. Hard do believe that after several MONTHS now they still have not even addressed the problem as far as I know.

I give up. Can Not manage my contacts, did yahoo even test the changes to contact, I doubt it. Yahoo, you need to fix the problems with contacts.

Has anyone been able to figure out how to edit a contact?
How has such a simple task become so complicated? -

You have TOTALLY screwed up the ease to handle CONTACTS and to edit their information.
Give me BACK the OLD CONTACT LIST FULL PAGE !! -

The new contact list is useless. I can't put them in the order I want them in, that is alphabetically by last name. I can't manage my lists because names in the lists are in random order and so are the actual lists. Contacts don't tell me which lists they are in.
Just abandon the new format and go back to the old one. -

Understand updating programs for the internet can run into problems (Windows 10!). But hundreds of people have reported the inability to use the Contact list for over a month. Have found nothing that states this problem is being addressed much less rectified. Posting some kind of acknowledgement would be very helpful.

DO NOT JUST REFER ME TO THE WORTHLESS HELP PAGE LIKE YOU DID WITH OTHERS. Let me restate this again - I want to keep the contact, I just don't want them in a specific list any more. This function existed in the previous version of Yahoo mail and not any more.

I *despise* the new format for the Contacts Lists and switched back to Classic. BUT, the "classic" is NOT the "Classic" that I used to use. 1) There is absolutely no way to add a contact to an existing contact list in the Classic format. 2) New contacts that I had added in the "new" mail did not appear in the "classic" view, and vice versa. Whaaaat??? I am so unhappy with the way that the new contacts work that I am seriously thinking of switching emails to a different platform, and I have been using Yahoo mail since - no joke - sometime around 1999.
