Contacts hard to find, edit, alter, and delete
Since the new changes it has become much more difficult to search and edit or delete a single contact. It would be very helpful if a dropdown menu were available to search by several choices such as ending email address or last name or company. partial name, with the ability to select the item and go to edit.

There should be a drop down to add contacts like there used to be. This is most streamlined. You should be able to sort contact views by name alphabetically. You should be able to view a contact and see what lists they are assigned to. These features were available with some past versions. It makes absolutely no sense to remove these features that help with efficiency and productivity. It makes me want to leave Yahoo.

I have added a new contact for someone 3 times and it still doesn't show up on my contacts list. Would you please fix this?

It use to be possible to modify which lists an individual was on via going to an individual's name and scrolling through the various possible lists and checking or unchecking the list names. I can no longer find a way of access such a list of list and can not remove a person from one list without deleting the full entry for that individual. I just want to be able to move a person from one list to another.

My idea is to move the entire hosting and email services from Yahoo to Google because yahoo doesnt allow corrections to missspelled email addresses. -*********************@yahoo.com

completely unworkable unless you are editing what is already there. Outlook works better than this so I may have to change providers unless you can fix this. It used to be useful and groups/lists could be added easily and populated understandably. What happened??

yup, it stinks. I just want to add a new group and can't figure out how to do that. Ridiculous. I regret going for the new version. It was working intuitively before.

Make it easier to edit existing contacts when their email addresses change. Yahoo has turned into idiocracy.

Please fix the Contact List issue! I can no longer move contacts from one list to another. This is crucial for our school at the beginning of each school year. I have found similar posts dating back as far as Spring 2019. I am seriously considering changing to another email carrier that can handle this effectively, and address the issue in a more timely fashion!

I'm using Microsoft Edge browser. When I add a new contact, I don't seem to be able to edit the new contact or add it to an existing list. The "edit" button is grayed out and when I search for the contact to add it to an existing list, the new contact doesn't show up.

I see that I am not alone on this topic - c'mon yahoo please improve contact management. I feel like we are going backwards. What's the point of making lists if they never work? Or adding contacts then they don't show up in your drop down immediately? Shouldn't have to log out and wait hours or days or never for the changes to take effect....I've considered changing to another platform but I've had my email for years and would like to keep it. Please do something :)

Example First Name: Joe#.
Luckily I exported most of my contacts to Google.
Also that new Contact panel on the right is awful, very difficult to read.
Notes at the bottom of Contacts are impossible to format. -

I can't edit some of my individual contacts anymore i.e. clicking on a contact in the alphabetical list creates a display of statistics without the option to Edit for some contacts. (I suspect this is the case for contacts created after the new format became active.) Also, the alphabetical list under "All" does not, in fact, contain all the contacts -- even when I click on the "More" option.
Here's what I like or would find helpful:
a) The alphabetical list would be okay if it actulally included *all* the contacts.
b) I like the different tabs for Inbox, Contacts, Notepad & Calendar on the Basic Yahoo e-mail.
c) I like being able to personalize the background and display format from the "newer" Yahoo e-mail.
d) I think the e-mail needs to be able to do two different things:
1) Manage contacts (add, delete, create lists, and edit details). Right now, managing contacts is confusing, difficult, sometimes even impossible. I liked the old method where the edit, list and add/delete options were displayed on a full page in the center, with e-mails displayed in a list to the left. I *really* hate having the contacts list crammed in at the very right.
2) Easily find and/or display e-mails for Composing messages. This kind-of works, even with the new format.I sure hope this gets fixed soon -- I'd hate to have to migrate these accounts over to gmail. They have their problems, too, but at least I can access what I need.

We should have been given a say on how things could be better. These changes are horrible. For starters, I edited my group list before the change. Now they've al returned to a prior setting. Second, I'm having to add all lists...again. Finally, when adding names to groups, some of the names in my contact list won't come up. But when I go to the 'All' list, there they are. The contacts are there but won't show when recreating the groups. Just horrible changes.
