Blocking IP address
Yahoo should provide its customers with a way to block spams by blocking the spammer's IP address which It is wisely use for other matters. It would not matter if that entire country is blocked since the customer does not have any business there

Allow blocking of IP addresses or servers that send spam. The blocking filter using text and domains DOES NOT WORK! Spammers use forms and change strings to defeat filters. Now I'm getting spam with crazy strings containing special characters. Am I really supposed to creat hundreds--if not thousands--of spam filters on my own?
Yahoo!, if you're serious about providing a worthwhile service and keeping us as customers, enable real measures to defeat spammers and not try to drive us to your "plus" services.

FILTERS: A newer trick is to simply link to IP addresses instead of domains. This makes spamming much easier. Please add IP address blocking for ANY IP linked. For example, if any link in the body text has has the form "href="http://45.157.168.6" (this one is from a spammer), then send to spam folder. EXCEPT, make the filter smart enough to recognize that ANY IP is cause to reject. For example, after the "//", if the next character is numeric, it is an IP link, and reject that email. This seems to be the hot new trend, so you're going to have to deal with it soon anyway.
