How can we improve New Mail?

I used to be able to click on a tab and my email was there. Why now do I have to get a code on my phone to open my mail? Sometimes my phone

I would like to just click on a tab and my email is open on my desktop like it is on my phone. Sometimes, I am not near my phone and it is very inconvenient to have to get a code on it to open my mailbox on my desktop.
