over-verification
Greetings.
As of today, as I report to work, I have been required to verify my sign-in, even though I didn't forget my password. I complied thinking this is just for updates or security. (*I don't even want to link my phone numbers into my email when I signed up, but I did just in case I get confused with the password/s).
Then I figured, apparently, that this type of log-in will be required everytime and everyday.. to be required of a (1) verification code from another email, and then (2) to be asked to change password. This happened 4 times each for my two emails. (I mean why do I need to change passwords everytime I log in?!)
Mind you. My Yahoo account/s are not high risk. This is becoming a nuisance already. And it is very inconvenient for accounts that doesn't even keep very confidential matters. (And in my opinion, those highly confidential accounts would choose VPN-ready services, not Yahoo or something...)

Agreeing with this - if I have to log in to another e-mail to verify my login for my yahoo e-mail every single time (and get prompted to change/update my password) then why should I keep using my yahoo e-mail?
I already didn't like being forced to add an additional e-mail or phone number for security when I have questions set up already - and I am NEVER giving out my phone number for this type of account. Now I have to effectively sign in twice to two different accounts to get access to my e-mail which is deeply annoying and frustrating.
I've had this e-mail for over 20 years and I don't particularly want to move everything over to another account, but if this continues I will do so and then close my yahoo account.
*Also, please remove the restrictions on creating my passwords - YOU'RE the ones who forced me to changed it to get into my e-mail, it was fine before and I would like to change it back.
