The grey bar around / over top of the read emails in the Inbox is a design fail: it makes it a lot harder to focus on the Unread email. I think the intent was to mute the Read emails in the list; however, it actually acts as a highlight. Having Unread emails bold and Read emails unbolded was pretty optimal. It is now suboptimal. Either remove it completely or provide a setting to allow user to disable. Fortunately, I have been able to revert back to the classic email, which does not have this "feature". My spouse cannot, and it is making Yahoo Mail nearly unusable to her.
