With internet so slow that Yahoo often states it is offline, it has been a struggle to comply with the (insensitive) 20GB deadline, which for me is in thirty minutes. I am a photographer and artist and writer, and have used Yahoo for almost 20 years. It served as my office for access to images sent and received as well as correspondence of importance. Last month - in order to comply without losing years of info and data, I opened a new email account with unlimited data from another provider - Yay!
I have been firing long queues of image heavy emails w/attachments when time permits, sometimes working all night. Slowly the yahoo space creeps lower toward the 20GB while the emails soar to their new email home.
Until now when yahoo has tossed an ugly message that the emails appear 'to be spam and contain only links.' It does NOT contain only links; the ones that are being forwarded are conversations between a friend and me - some with photos and some with narratives; she died last year.... I opened another window but still get the same message. Thankfully I barely reached a little below the 20GB about five minutes before this message began to show up. I changed the 'Subject' name; I removed 'forward' and added extra narrative. I tried several more forwards, and tried composing a new email and sending it. They all receive the same pop-up message.
Until that happened, hundreds of emails, blog posts, etc have been zooming (for days) to the new email account /my new email office.
To add to the 'panic' about being shut out of the mail service, there was a death in the family yesterday, and I am continents away...
Just now I checked a recently received email and tried to forward it; the same message appeared.
How can Yahoo Mail reject mail sent from the sender's own address? It was not flagged as spam; it was in its own folder or else a fresh compose.
YahooMail has never done this in all these years!
