I hate this new account login mess it abuses having my cell phone number
Ever since I provided my phone number for account recovery, I now login from my personal computer and personal cell phone using my login name and password BUT now Yahoo stops me from logging in with a "Is this really you"? message. then I have to receive a text message for sign up for a what's up account to receive a code before I can login AFTER I have already provided my login information ON MY PERSONAL COMPUTER. This is SO annoying that if my cellphone dies, is stolen, or not with me, I CANNOT CHECK MY EMAIL from anywhere. this is excessive and absolutely so absurd that I have been with YAHOO for YEARS and now considering changing to a new email provider just because of that. These layers of protection interfere with login success and creates unnecessary stress. There isn't that much protection needed in the world. If there is then you need to improve the firewall without complicating what users have to do. I'm considering leaving yahoo because of this.
I should be able to check my email, even if my phone is dead, lost or stolen. Stop using my cell phone as a means to login. Because now, I am unable to login without it. If added security needs to be in place, then I prefer security questions and answers and not cellphone because I want to still be able to check my email even if I don't have a cellphone.
