How can we improve New Mail?

Ad Banner across bottom of screen

Why is there a new advertising banner across the bottom of the page? 2 already exist on the right side of the screen. This covers up email where you can only see a small part of it. Is this an intent to have people pay a monthly fee?

    Yes! Agree with all of the comments below. I purposely do not buy from advertisers on the right or now the bottom. The ads are mostly from temu anyway. The pop ups and moving ads are so disruptive.

    The new add at the bottom of the email allows you to read like 2 lines of email at a time. Ridiculous. I will leave yahoo if not fixed.

    Putt more up more adds and reduce the size of useable space to a one-inch square, I hear G-Mail Calling

    Please remove the ads from the reading preview. I agree with others here that I have responded to ads on the right, but this bottom ad is enough to drive me to Gmail. If you need another ad space, put it at the bottom on the right, but don't cover up the reading pane or list of emails. If you have to have it there, put with the message so it can be scrolled up out of the reading pane. Now is right where I click to scroll the email which means nothing happens. Whoever came up with the idea ought to be fired. It covers half my reading pane.

    The ad banner at the bottom of the email is blocking me from seeing my emails; get rid of it, yesterday!

    Too many ads backfires. Your advertisers want people to buy things from ads, NOT BOYCOTT THEM FOR TOO MANY ADS. When I only saw one ad on the right side, that was fine. But TWO ads at once? With the second one on the bottom COVERING email I want to read?! That is so enraging that IT MAKES ME WANT TO REFUSE TO BUY THINGS out of anger. That does not help your advertisers make money, does it? REMOVE THE BOTTOM AD BANNER. It is INFURIATING!

    Is there any way I can remove the ads from the bottom of my screen - they are blocking my messages from my inbox. I am considering closing my Yahoo mail account.

    The bottom 1/2 of my email display screen is blank. Please put it back.

    Do you realize that your advertisers want people to buy things from seeing their ads? When I only saw ads on the right side of my email, that was fine; I even considered buying what was in the ads. BUT NOW I AM JUST ANGRY!!! That's the risk you take when you over-do ad space; you are killing your own cash cow. Now that the extra bottom ad just covers my email preview, I just report every single ad as "covering content" BAD IDEA! My next complaint will be to your advertisers so you won't get their money anymore. Is THAT what you want???

    I will be switching to google if the ad screen at the bottom of the preview screen is not removed. I know your goal is to get me to buy the premium version. But you have now made it impossible to read my mail. I already get made fun of for having yahoo instead of google, so now you are helping me make the switch. Yahoo can now be my spam account. Also, if you think the ad is working because of clicks, those clicks are by mistake, since it's super confusing.

    Please remove the new additional ad bar.
    Unable to read Yahoo emails due to lot of ad flickering on screen.
    Bad for eyes and general overall health of Yahoo mail users.
    Extra ad bar at the bottom is excessive. We already have a side bar.

    Agreed. I thought it was malware until I read this post. I don't use gmail due to their annoying ads, but this is even worse. Awful.

    Please get rid of the new ad bar at the bottom of the screen. Don't want to switch to G-Mail for my primary but will have to unless this ad bar goes away. Takes up way to much space. Having one on the right is more than enough.

    Now I am unable to preview my email at all! This is enough to transition my yahoo to become my new spam only account.

    Agreed! This is the most annoying thing ever! Please remove the bottom ad!

    I appreciate the sidebar ad, but the extra ad bar at the bottom is excessive. It occupies too much screen space. The additional ad bar at the bottom almost makes it impossible to read email. Please remove it!
