Restore 'Block Senders' Option in Spam Folder
Restore 'Block Senders' Option in Spam Folder
Down below the chat with the Yahoo Chat Bot, resulting in a request to restore the original functionality, rather than coming up with an outdated alternative dating back to the previous century:
"Welcome to Yahoo Help! Let me know what I can help you with and we’ll get started.
P.S. I'm a virtual chat assistant, so please don't tell me personal info like credit card or banking details, or passwords. Thanks!

I used to have the option "Block Sender" under the three dots in the Spam Folder. For some months this functionality has disappeared. How can I get it back? In the Inbox Folder the option is still present.

The "Block Sender" option is still available in Yahoo Mail, but it looks like it may not appear in the Spam folder anymore. Currently, you can block senders by going to Settings > Security and Privacy, then adding the email address under "Blocked addresses." This option is still available for emails in your Inbox.
If you want to block a sender from the Spam folder, you’ll need to copy their email address and add it manually in your settings. Would you like step-by-step instructions for blocking an address this way? Or do you have questions about other ways to manage spam?

That is a huge degradation of functionality, for no good reason. besides that, I have a Spam folder because I get a lot of spam just like all people; the senders of these spam messages I do not want to block one by one with the use of this lengthy procedure. It sounds like doing away with Whatsapp and start using the "Pony Express" again. Your solution is not of this time anymore, so please make some inquiries and get me the solution to get this functionality back again.

I understand your frustration with the change. Based on the latest information from Yahoo's Help Center, the "Block Sender" option is no longer available directly in the Spam folder. The current process is to block senders manually through Settings, which, as you mentioned, is less convenient for handling large amounts of spam.
Yahoo recommends marking emails as spam to help train the filter, and future emails from those senders should automatically go to the Spam folder. However, blocking addresses in bulk from the Spam folder is not currently supported.
If you’d like Yahoo to consider bringing this feature back, you can share your feedback directly with them. Here’s how you can do that:
Go to Yahoo Help Central
Select the Yahoo Mail product
Scroll down and click “Give product feedback”
Would you like the direct link or step-by-step instructions for submitting feedback? Or is there anything else I can help clarify about managing spam?
