  2. retrieve old emails from trash

    why would you automatically delete emails that are sent to the trash? I am in search of an important email from march and I cannot see any emails in my trash past July 1. How can I retrieve an old email that I put in the trash, but that I did not delete from the trash?

    By default, both the Trash and Spam folders empty automatically to keep your account tidy. You cannot change the Trash and Spam settings.

    - Trash deletion frequency – Trash is deleted after 7 days.

    -Spam deletion frequency – Spam is deleted after 30 days.

  6. Please restore my emails

    All the emails in my sent folder have disappeared overnight. Please restore them as the history they contain goes back more than 20 years. I have not deleted anything from my sent items. I have tried to report this issue by submitting a request, but there is no way to explain the specifics. Please help, my emails are important to me. Thank you.

  7. Emails deleted

    Everything is gone... all gone... all the love letters from my to-be-husband... emails from my now-deceased mother... a decade or more of my life... deleted.

    And no warning, no restore options... just purged. Why do this with no notice?

    I stayed loyal through all these years, even when everyone said Gmail was infinitely better. I hated the inbox makeover, but still stuck with Yahoo.

    Now this? It's the last straw.

    Google may be an evil monopoly, but Yahoo deserves to go out of business for this.

  8. What happened to spam? None in days. Some good mail goes there too.

    Why is there no spam email? None in over a week. How can I be sure no good emails are going there when it doesn't come anymore?

    If you find emails in your Spam folder that don’t belong there, you’ll need to mark the messages as "not spam’. Here’s how: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/manage-spam-mailing-lists-yahoo-mail-sln28056.html

    Also, sometimes a filter can cause emails to bypass your inbox and be sent to either the trash folder or a different folder. You may need to check any filters you’ve created to make sure your messages are correctly organized: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/filters-organize-yahoo-mail-sln28071.html

  10. keeps deleting emails that I haven't read

    When going through my emails I always mark as read before deleting them. Have noticed more and more emails being sent to trash that I haven't read, but have seen in my inbox. No idea how they are getting there. Really frustrating as I have to go through my inbox and trash folders just to make sure I've not missed anything. Will have to move to Outlook. They don't seem to change format ever 2 minutes and I don't have this issue there

    Please check the filters on the account to make sure there isn’t one set up that might make your emails go to the trash folder: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN15994.html

    In case you do not have any incoming mail filters set-up on your Yahoo account, please check the incoming mail filters, and junk mail filter, in the mail applications that you are using (e.g. Outlook, Mac Mail, Windows Mail, Thunderbird, mobile email application).

    If you did not sign into your account within 12 months the account is deactivated. Unfortunately, you will not be able to reactivate it or re-create the same email address. You can always sign up for a new Yahoo account.

  13. You win - I cannot work with this ****** client any longer - Yahoo Mail sucks the life out of me

    I give up - you win. You lose a customer. I've been using Yahoo Mail for 15 years .. and every year you guys ***** around with it and make it worse. I see hundreds of messages telling you how badly you rmail system sucks - and you do nothing
    I just lost 2000 messages because your "Move" option does not move anything - and your "Delete" option does not move messages to the Trash. I don't know WHERE moved or deleted messages go but it is NOT to a chosen folder or to Trash

  15. spam folder in yahoo android app has disappeared

    in the app (android), the spam folder can not be accessed: proposed folders are
    - inbox
    - draft
    - sent
    - archived
    - bin

    but no spam folder

    it is MANDATORY to get this folder accessible , to check sometime if importatn mailed have not been moved to spam

  16. get it to work today - disappearing read email in Outlook and....

    Sorry if this is the wrong place but I can't find a means to supply feedback to Yahoo though I have already to Microsoft. Below is a copy of what I have sent to Microsoft. It started on Tuesday the 22nd..

    "Outlook 2016 and ymail - mail downloaded read then disappears from client and server.
    I'm having some serious problems with my Ymail email. After downloading and reading them they disappear from my inbox in Outlook AND via webmail...

    I use IMAP, no filtering, no mail forwarding, only one mail rule in Outlook and it is not to blame, there…

    The issue should be fixed. If you’ve verified that your account is working outside of the app and you’ve checked the other possible solutions, then there’s something wrong with the app you’re using. The app manufacturer may have additional troubleshooting steps to try. Alternatively, you can use a different third-party email app.

    When searching please make sure you have the Option “Date: newest on top” selected under the Sort menu. If the issue still persists try clearing the browser cache and cookies or try using a different browser.

  18. This morning, Wed 10/9.....emails won't go into folders

    I've tried dragging. I've tried assigning. I refresh the page, and try again. My goodness. A NEW ISSUE that Yahoo hasn't had in 20 years is now present. What a mess. But, tell you what, keep on messing with the app and the new logo. That'll make your customers happy. Yep. No doubt.

  19. SPAM

    Since Yahoo has the habit of flagging my legit mail as spam (50% of what get flagged as spam is not), I need to know when I have new items in my spam folder. The IOS app does not let me view the SPAM folder anymore. It is is new change. You need to let users view the SPAM folder on the app.

    Please download the Yahoo Mail app or use a desktop computer browser to access your mail.

    The best way to resolve this is to mark the emails as “Not Spam”, that way you can train the spam filter to better identify important emails in the future. Also if you use a mobile device or email client to access your mail over IMAP, please check the Spam filters in that application, to make sure it’s not marking important emails as spam.

  20. Yahoo Mail for iPad OS 13.1.1

    I just upgraded my iPad OS to 13.1.1, and I no longer have access to my folders. I only see the inbox, with no visible way to get to the folders. I've clicked on every available button with no luck.
