Unlinking Yahoo mailboxes
- This company clearly values profits over its customers and it shows.
- If you have a problem which they have not addressed in the FAQ's there is absolutely no way to talk to them without paying. This is ridiculous, as it is not uncommon to do this, as their FAQ's are not extensive. This is the stupidest and most harmful policy to customers, and I can't believe that any company would be so callous towards the needs of its customers.
- I have an issue which is not addressed in the FAQ's: my boss and I's mailboxes are linked, so it is…

all my mail is going into trash.. It's not filters. and no one will help unless I pay for pro.. what a scam
Hi there,
If you are certain the rules in your filters are not causing this, please change your password immediately. This will secure your account and ensure hackers are not downloading your mail as it arrives and sending it to thrash. Please see the following article on securing your account:
https://help.yahoo.com/kb/sln2090.htmlIf you have secured your account and you find your mail is still going directly to Trash, please review the POP settings of any Third party email clients you may be using, such as Outlook or Mac Mail. Certain settings may see your mail deleted on the Yahoo side it when it’s downloaded on the client side. You may need to review these settings via the third party client support site.
Please note that this is a feedback forum, so our ability to provide support for issues such as this is limited. A far better channel for you to…

change image
I changed my image icon to a picture from the default but now I want to change it back. How to make it? Thanks.
Personalize your Yahoo Account by adding a picture from a desktop computer and most mobile apps. You can upload an image in .jpg, .png, and .jpeg format as long as it’s 5MB or less and at least 192×192 pixels. Once a Profile picture is added, it can’t be made blank again. Switch it to a generic image if you’d prefer not to share something personal:

Can't you come up with a blocking tool that blocks based extremely long sender name (ex: ******************@yahoo.com)
I am getting 20-30 spam mails with yahoo domain names. Sender uses extremely long and convoluted name ex: (*****************@yahoo.com). Isn't there a way for your spam filters can block these emails?
If mark these emails are Spam, it will help our help our system filter them better in the future.
Thank you!

Why can I not filter names/sunjects in mail, when I click titles of a filtered name the system says "I Have a problem " return to inbox
Just get it working like it used to be without poncing it up
Filters work on a system of position. Filters higher on the list will take precedence over the lower ones. Check out our article on Filters for more info:

My email won't change the name that is being sent out with each email
I set a pseudonym when I was a teenager and even though I've updated it everywhere I can think of and literally CANNOT find the name anywhere else, it won't stop attaching it to my sent emails. wtf?
When you send an email to another person, the name that shows on the account is called the Sending Name. This is different than an account’s Display Name or Nickname, which shows in the top right part of the screen when you’re signed in.
The Sending Name for the account can only be changed from the desktop web version of Yahoo Mail, and not from a mobile device. Follow these steps below to change it.
In New Mail:
1. Sign in to Yahoo Mail.
2. Mouse over the Settings menu icon (Gear) | select More Settings.
3. Click Mailboxes.
4. Click on the Yahoo email account.
5. Enter a new name in the “Your Name” field.
6. Click Save.In Classic Mail:
1. Sign in to Yahoo Mail.
2. Mouse over the Settings menu icon (Gear) | select Settings.
3. Click Accounts.
4. Click on the Yahoo email account.

Default verification device
Where I work, I am not allowed to bring either my tablet or my cell phone into my office for security reasons. In addition, the thin client I use for my external email is rebooted nightly, so I have to log into my Yahoo account each day. The verification system uses my tablet as my first default device, then my cell phone as the second device and finally goes to my Hotmail account where I get the verification code. How can I change my settings so that my Hotmail account is the FIRST default verification system, not the last?
