  2. problems signing in it is says wait 1 hour

    Yahoo may at times enforce a login wait to help ensure account security and privacy. There's no way for us to bypass this in the contact center, so we recommend waiting the prescribed amount of time. It's usually fairly short and you can then try logging in again.   5. I'm unable to forward some important emails to my family members.

    There was some important update from my insurance company and I was unable to forward the same to my family members. There is this warning symbol in pink triangle mark popping up "An error occurred while sending the message". Even two days back, an email reply to already conversed recipient in the past didn't go through and pop up message like "it looks like spam". Pls avoid such pop ups.

    To protect all users, we temporarily block email sending on accounts that are flagged with spam-like or suspicious sending habits. If you're seeing "suspicious activity detected" or "account temporarily blocked from sending messages", you'll still have access to your mail and receive messages while you wait for the hold to expire.

    I got hacked on Instagram and the only way to recover my account is from my ymail account. But it was deleted due to being inactive, & I cannot sign up new ymail account also. Why creating ymail at first if you're going to neglect the old users about it? Please help me to at least sign up a new ymail account

    If an account is unused or dormant for 12 months, it is deactivated. More info here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/sln2018.html You will not be able to reactivate it or re-create the same email address, however, you can always sign up for a new Yahoo account at mail.yahoo.com. I'm sorry this is not the response you hoped for!

    Hi there. I recommend removing/re-adding your account in this email client. If the issue persist after this, try contacting  Microsoft support.

    Hi there. You can sign out from Yahoo Mail then uncheck the box from ''Stay signed in''. You can also check your browser's settings to see if your credentials are automatically saved.

    If you’re trying to regain access to a social media account using your Yahoo account, but aren’t receiving the recovery email, you may be using a recycled Yahoo email address. Your old Yahoo account may have been closed due to inactivity, and later that same username became available again for you or any new user to claim as their own. To prevent identity theft, Yahoo may not allow recovery emails to be sent to recycled email addresses. In this situation, you can only reach out to the third-party company for more help.

    Recently my yahoo mail tab in Firefox has started shutting down automatically when I'm in working in mail.... wether I'm arrowing up/down, moving emails to folders, or downloading attachments.

    Yahoo it seems you are finding ways to charge for more and more obscure "services".. Last night for some reason after 20 years or so of using your email I found myself locked out. At a time I need you to be there as my paypal was hacked and I was getting boned pretty deep and hard. I am not sure why I wasn't able top log in but I often have some difficulty between my phone and desktop that eventually works.     I understand this can be a frustrating experience! You might have 2 step verification enabled on your account. Yahoo takes our commitment to member security seriously, especially when members tell us they want increased login security for their specific account. Recent security changes require users who have self-selected two-step verification to utilize two recovery methods to reset their password online, whenever two recovery methods are on-file. This means you need to have 2 recovery options active on your account.


    We'd love to offer free phone support to everyone, however, free phone support is an expensive service to maintain for a free service. Most free email providers do not have any option for phone support. We care about our users, and wanted to be able to have phone support for those who want the live agent experience, and have worked hard to put together a plan that has value for everyone…

    You can request a mail restore here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN2552.html Once the restore is complete you would need to check your Trash folder for the recovered messages.

  16. Cannot use Bcc to send mail!

    I now, only recently, within the last week, cannot use Bcc to send mail via Thunderbird. Ok using webmail, but not anymore via my email client - Thunderbird.

  17. Spam Filter is not respecting white list (Contacts & Mail Filters)

    Spam Filter Errors:
    1. The emails coming from any of my contacts MUST come to my Inbox. Even if Yahoo Spam filter patronizingly thinks otherwise.
    2. The Filter I apply to route mails to folders should come higher in priority to the Yahoo Spam Filter.

    I have stuck with Yahoo all these years because I find "Folders" and "Filters" very neat features to organize the mails.

    But I am finding it really tedious to do a 100% check of Spam folder everyday. Which by the way defeats the very purpose of the Spam filter. I find about 0.5% of my…

  20. iOS and iPadOS app not working

    My YahooMail app on both iPad Pro and iPhone 12 stays on the purple loading screen and doesn’t go to my mailbox. It hangs.
    I tried uninstalling the app, and reinstalling it and changed between wifi and mobile data, and nothing changed. I get notifications on my devices, but can’t access my inbox or the message as the app gets stuck on the purple loading screen.
