Yahoo comments are run by the company OpenWeb, not yahoo.
OpenWeb's "AI" is extremely faulty, and their "Moderators" uneducated and/or ignorant.Often, a slight change in grammar (like hyphens or such) will make the difference between accepted & rejected comments.
People should start bombarding OpenWeb with complaints regarding comment rejection.

If you can say you dont believe in religious beliefs then you should be allowed to say you dont believe in the LGBTQ+beliefs also. Because most of us dont believe in the gods and we also dont believe when a man puts on makeup and a dress he magically turns into a woman. To us its still just a man in a dress.

Yahoo s content moderation procedures are laughable. Just today I had two comments rejected. Neither used profane language or threatened any group or individual. I basically referenced the very words used by former President Trump, and criticized people who still defend him despite his inflammatory rhetoric and habitual lies (without any of his childish name-calling). Both posts were rejected. Yet I see literally dozens of comments that promote or suggest violence against other users and/or engage in the type of name calling the terms of use purport to prohibit.
Get your act together Yahoo ... Until you do my searches and visits are going elsewhere.

This is probably the most critically important feature that Yahoo fails at. We clearly have foreign adversaries bot-farming, yet I can't use the phrase "bot farm" without it being offensive. I'm not even sure Yahoo has human moderators; just AI developed at Harvard. Yahoo allows information dominance in its comments, and it is very sick. Deleting my account I've had for decades as soon as possible.

This was about the bridge accident. This comment was rejected. In a older car you can stop the engine by turning off the key. Can you stop the engine with a fob car?

Yes they are. It braindead sensitive kids who lack any practical thinking and they know what they are doing. Make lists of names for prosecution. I have been. They all need to be figuratively destroyed. Weak people don't get to make rules because they make ****** rules.

Exactly, I've had comments pointing out how many illegals have come into this country rejected. Yahoo must not like the truth.

Yahoo fails to recognize blatant innuendos to racism and bigotry in comments all the time, even when you flag them for review. Yet time and time again, users get flagged for simply using regular words. I couldn't use the words 'ethnicity' or 'scholarships' in an article about scholarships and ethnicity. I requested a review of the immediate system rejection and got rejected again. In another article I realized the words 'gossip' and 'rudeness' were being flagged. I'm sure thousands of users can provide similar examples. Yahoo you can fix the issue or simply shut commenting down. You know the moment you decide to shut it down, folks will disappear. It shouldn't be that hard to make an intelligent decision and work on a better system to flag comments.

I flag a lot of comments. It seems to me a lot of people's definition of the rules is out the window. Plus if my comments are rejected, it is an opportunity for me to use critical thinking to try an discern why someone else black-balled you.

I used to like and respect Yahoo, but no longer. Free speech is alive and for the most part well, except on Yahoo. I understand foul language or racist comments, but y'all are going way too far. I had a GIF rejected of a woman acting like she was wiping tears and saying OH, BOO. That is just ridiculous. I'VE SEEN A LOT WORSE. Also, you call all caps yelling?? LOL Please be real people.

When rejecting a comment, please take the entire comment into account, not just one word or phrase, and if a comment is rejected because of a word or phrase, please make sure the commenter understands what is wrong, so they can perhaps get their point across without using the word or phrase that your censors find offensive.

I commented the letter F it was not allowed why? You can’t use scientific names for anatomy why? Why is yahoo allowed to use words people posting comments can’t ? I know why yahoo hates the first amendment. Yahoo thinks their site is the best but you’re wrong it’s the worst. I can understand warning or rejecting of foul language. Only good thing about yahoo is mail others are better but I’ll soon be switching to google as you’re censoring is becoming too much to deal with. Yahoo you suck

It's evident that your censoring is biased, my direct non illicit comments (w/o foul language) has often been rejected while MORE damaging comments have been admitted. I support the 1st amendment and understand the limitations of deragotary comment under your rules that only seem fair until the writer travels into a zone the censors don't like.

Look when your talking about war. There is death, a winner and a loser, anger, hate, love and disappointment. Don't let negative replies anger you. All this is to help express one opinion. Maybe even vent a little bit. Words are just expressions. And almost always never being there.
