An error occurred while saving the comment Roy Antley commentedYahoo s content moderation procedures are laughable. Just today I had two comments rejected. Neither used profane language or threatened any group or individual. I basically referenced the very words used by former President Trump, and criticized people who still defend him despite his inflammatory rhetoric and habitual lies (without any of his childish name-calling). Both posts were rejected. Yet I see literally dozens of comments that promote or suggest violence against other users and/or engage in the type of name calling the terms of use purport to prohibit.
Get your act together Yahoo ... Until you do my searches and visits are going elsewhere.
I commented on a story about the Tennessee legislature mandating a fetal development video as part of their school curriculum.
My comment was: "So it's great to show fetal development in graphic detail ... just don't mention the word "condom" because that violates parental rights."
Rejected.
Then the appeal was rejected. "Your comment does indeed violate community guidelines." That's it.
C'mon, you've got to be kidding me. What's the problem? The word "condom?" It's pretty much the only word mentioned in the comment that wasn't used in the article.
If that term is offensive or insulting to the community, count me out of the community.
I will be boycotting Yahoo for the next month.
