I would like to see more proofreading of articles. I tried my hand at writing a few years ago, and I would have been embarrassed to have my name attached to some of the articles that I see posted on your site. Between gross misspellings, poor grammar, and in some cases, even foul language, it is becoming downright offensive.

When rejecting a comment, please take the entire comment into account, not just one word or phrase, and if a comment is rejected because of a word or phrase, please make sure the commenter understands what is wrong, so they can perhaps get their point across without using the word or phrase that your censors find offensive.

You currently shut down comments on articles that have been up for more than 3 days, which I can understand to an extent. However, these articles are still showing up on the front page, and sometimes even showing up several days late, not allowing new commentary on an article that is new to the reader.
If you have an article on the front page, it should be treated as a new article and allow commenting as long as it is there.
