2. Back from error page

   If there's a delay when reloading a page with a chart, it can switch to an error page. In that case, I don’t remember which chart it was and can’t return to it. 6. Realized G/L calculation is wrong

   Hi,

   On Yahoo Finance holding summary page (finance.yahoo.com/portfolio), there is a Realized G/L value, which is total capital gains/losses from cash dividends, sales, or interest earned.

   But this value calculation is wrong.
   For example, one of my holdings pays dividends in euros, and the other pays dividends in dollars.
   And my portfolio shows every value in dollars.

   In my case, Realized G/L sum all values in dollars, and there is no euro-to-dollar exchange before it.

   Example:
   Holding 1 dividend: 10 EUR
   Holding 2 dividend: 10 USD

   Realized G/L = 20 USD (it is wrong)

   Could you take a look at this value?

   It would be helpful to have the ability to select "Total Return" on a custom portfolio... both by $ and %
   For clarification - Total Return would be Realized Gain (Dividends) + Unrealized Gain.

   If this is not possible for you to implement, it would be helpful to have the option to select "Realized Gain (%)" in a custom portfolio (in addition to the already present "Realized Gain ($)"

    AMD (AMD) reported its fourth quarter earnings after the bell on Tuesday, beating expectations on the top and bottom lines and providing a better-than-anticipated Q1 forecast.

    The chipmaker's announcement came the same day President Donald Trump enacted a 10% tariff on goods made in China and a little over a week after China-based DeepSeek rocked the tech world with its low-cost AI models.

    Despite the earnings beat and stronger guidance, the chipmaker's stock fell almost 9% before the bell on Wednesday. AMD's growth forecast for its data center business disappointed analysts looking for signs of momentum in AI chips as it goes up against Nvidia (NVDA).

    AMD is battling to take market share in the artificial intelligence space from Nvidia, which dominates sales of high-powered AI chips. At the same time, the company is contending with a continued slowdown in PC sales, even as the industry works to push consumers and enterprises toward AI PCs — computers that feature specialized processors designed to power AI tasks.

    For the quarter, AMD reported earnings per share (EPS) of $1.09 on revenue of $7.56 billion. Wall Street was expecting EPS of $1.09 and revenue of $7.5 billion, according to Bloomberg consensus estimates. The company’s data center business, its largest segment by revenue, brought in $3.9 billion, just shy of expectations of $4.09 billion for the quarter.

    AMD’s client segment, which includes chips for PCs, generated $2.3 billion for the quarter. Analysts were anticipating revenue of $1.98 billion. The company also saw Gaming revenue of $563 million. Wall Street was looking for $487 million.

    For the current quarter, AMD anticipates revenue between $6.8 billion and $7.4 billion. Wall Street had expected $7.0 billion.

    AMD shares have struggled throughout the last 12 months, falling 33% compared to rival Nvidia, which has jumped 80%. Still, that’s better than archnemesis Intel (INTC), which has seen shares fall 54% in the same time period.

11. Allow users to customize the colour of chart lines used in comparisons

    Often users use comparisons to benchmark performance versus inducies. It is helpful to be able to customize your comparisons on the graph by colour. Avoids charts with nearly identical coloured lines and allows you to create easier to understand charts by keeping the colour scheme consistent.

    US stocks recovered from losses on Wednesday to close higher on the day. Earnings from Alphabet (GOOG, GOOGL) and AMD (AMD) fell short, but Big Tech got a boost from a jump in Nvidia (NVDA) shares.

    The tech-heavy Nasdaq Composite (^IXIC) rose 0.2%, while the benchmark S&P 500 (^GSPC) added 0.4%. The Dow Jones Industrial Average (^DJI) led the gains, rising 0.7%, or more than 300 points.

    Alphabet's stock was under pressure, down nearly 7%, after fourth quarter cloud revenue undershot estimates. The miss rattled investors concerned that the Google parent's hefty spending on AI won't see the hoped-for payoff any time soon.

    Nvidia appears to be one potential beneficiary from that spending, however. It helped lead the major indexes' charge back from the red, rising more than 5%.

    Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury yield (^TNX) fell nine basis points to hit 4.42%, its lowest level since December 2024.

    President Donald Trump's tariff plans have markets already jumpy, and his unexpected suggestion late Tuesday that the US could take over the Gaza strip and develop it as a "Riviera of the Middle East" left investors even more bemused about which direction policy will take next.

    Ford beats on Q4 results but issues muted 2025 guidance

    Ford (F) reported a fourth quarter earnings and revenue beat, with full-year profit coming in slightly higher than expected, but the company issued muted full-year guidance. The results come after rival GM (GM) reported strong results but declined to return more cash to shareholders.

    Ford said it sees full-year 2025 adjusted EBIT of $7.0 billion to $8.5 billion, and $3.5 billion to $4.5 billion in adjusted free cash flow. Ford said the guidance "presumes headwinds related to market factors," such as pricing, though that does not include changes in policy like the potential loss of EV tax credits or tariffs. CFO Sherry House added in a call with reporters that a 25% tariff on imports "would have a major impact on our industry."

18. Please stop the color highlighting of stock price changes

    The constant highlighting of price changes is distracting and makes the portfolio hard to read. One can debate whether to update prices in real time or require page reloading (MyYahoo), but the highlighting is the worst of both worlds and serves no necessary purpose,

    One thing I am missing that would make it even better is the possibility to link personal broker / bank / mutual fund accounts to facilitate the integration of all the portolios in one single place seamlessly. Some automated linking would be awesome.
