I've noticed a few real words are not playable in the game. Especially long compound words plural form, which is exceedingly annoying when you're worked an entire board just so you can play them. Like today when I tried to play "repositionings," only to have it fail. So I was wondering if there is a means by which we can determine if a specific word is playable before we go thru the the hassle of centering an attempt on them?

Also, I've been working on my list bounty words, to which I have successfully managed to play: Whatchamacallit (Whatchamacallits not playable), Thingamajig, Endometriosis, and several other +12 letter and higher words. My white whale is "SCRUMDIDDLYUMPTIOUS." But seeing I've been burned before on other words that fall out of the normal lexicon, I would like to know if that word is playable? I would greatly appreciate if you can answer that.
