Make Folder list pane RESIZABLE
PLEASE make the pane on the left with all the Folders RESIZABLE! The default is WAY TOO NARROW! I need it WIDER so I can actually READ the folder names without them being cut off!!! This USED to work. Why did you BREAK it?

Calendar Feedback
Bring back the single click icon for Calendar - - using a pull down to get to it is a PAIN!!!!
Also you new front end is VERY slow to respond compared to the old version - - so not an upgrade

I would like to be able to see all the folders without having to navigate. I used to be able to scroll down through all the available folders

Allow expansion to folder pane
The new Yahoo Mail format has made my folder navigation much harder to use. I have a large number of carefully organized folders, and the left folder/navigation pane is now too narrow to display the complete folder names. I have to hover over each folder to see its full name. The previous Yahoo Mail interface allowed me to see the complete folder names and navigate my folders much more efficiently. Please either restore the previous folder-pane display or add an option allowing users to widen the left folder/navigation pane. This is a significant usability problem for users with many folders.

put search on the right AFTER reading the thing to search for
The /n ( https://mail.yahoo.com/n ) new Yahoo email presentation on 2026-08-27 shows email sender with the serch on the left, this is counter intuitive, we read left-to-right, so I will read the sender's name first, then, moving to the right, I expect to control what I just read and comprehended. To go back to the left to find and click the search is backwards, literally, and the mouse then obscrurs the name of the person I might be looking to search for, so I have to move the mouse away, conrirm I'm on the right line, then move the mouse…

Keep Ads from Interrupting Keyboard Shortcuts
This was a problem before the redesign as well -- some ads cause the keyboard input to shift towards them, meaning that standard shortcuts (page down, delete, etc.) fail to work.

"Catagories" Bar Needs Fixing
(It would also be helpful if these Feedback forms allowed for pasting of screen shots to illustrate what's wrong.)
The header bar in the new Yahoo Mail Features the tabs for "All", "Primary", "Offers", "Socials", and "Newsletters". This morning when I logged in, it told me I had 4 in Primary and 2 in Offers. However, upon clicking through to them, there were no new emails. Upon clicking OFF of them, the headsup display of 4 and 2 did not go away. Neither upon refresh, either. I have since turned catagories off - I find them unnecesary and ill implemented.… -
When move email, change keyboard focus to "search folders" text box
Hey, guys. I know you're trying to improve our mail experience, but it's a bit of a downgrade. Others have mentioned many of the issues, I'll just mention one here: When I type "D" to move an email, I used to be able to immediately type the folder name since the text box was focused, but now I need to click the text box to focus it first. Small change, big (negative) impact. Please fix.

BAD: Action notification popup steals focus from user entry
When a keyboard navigation is used (DELETE, CTRL-D, etc.), there is a delay in timing to show the action popup (the "undo" message for any move or delete). in the time it takes for this popup to show, another action for move can be started (select item with SPACE, CTRL-D to show the move popup, and focus is in the "Search" box), and the action popup steals focus from the "Search" box.
The user then has to then use the mouse to reselect the Search box (CTRL-D doesn't trigger to reselect the "Search" box because the listing is not the… -
BAD: Need to select email item before action allowed
Keyboard navigation now requires selecting email item in list with SELECT before actions can occur (DELETE, CTRL-D, etc.). The currently highlighted item is ignored unless the additional selection click is used.

Current Open Email Indicator Bar
When i am reading my emails with my inbox or folder on the left and the email on the right of the screen, the only indicator on the left in the list of emails of which one I am currently reading is a small, slim purple bar on the right of the email subject and first line card. This little purple bar gets partially covered by the scroll up and down bar when not hovering over it and is completely covered by it if you start using the scroll bar. My preference would be that you make the purple bar…

bigger email viewing window
the old version seemed to have a bigger email viewing window, which made it much easier to actually view my emails. also the bubble view of the messages is harder to navigate through and harder for me to look at.

Trying to keep the emails sorted is tricky
Clicking the folders is painful to do. When you want to move a file to a folder, you need to hold the button down for 10 second or 10 minutes sometimes, it does not respond instantly. It is frustrating. Which part of the button to hold down. Opening the folders button is also very slow, 30 seconds to 5 minutes. Those link buttons need to be changed. Or folders should be open to the search option on the main bar, no clicking to open it. There is room there.It would save everyone a lot of time and make the site…

Page numbers not being available makes going through emails a major pain.
The old pages of 20 - 30? messages by page number much more useful to me than totally tedious layout now where I now have to keep track of dates and specific message on that date to know where I left off in my reviewing of messages. You really are trying hard to mess things up and you have succeeded.

[MacBook Pro] Trackpad scrolling is sticky (stutters)
The web UI is not coded properly, scrolling on a trackpad is sticky, lines will move vertically and then stutter regularly, reducing the quality of the experience (instead of smoothly tracking the movement of the fingers).
