Functionality of scrolling through mail
Scrolling through mail is maddening. I can't see mail and scroll through titles of mail, it's not intuitive at all. I can't intuitively change the view of my main interface. I can scroll through the side menus. I can't scroll through the titles unless I use arrows. Trying to find the scroll bar for my main email is so frustrating I can't begin to describe it. Navigating this page is just not worth using yahoo anymore.

Split Screen Formatting
This is a feature that was recently removed, and I'm not sure why. When you have your inbox in split-screen mode, where your inbox is displayed side-by-side with the currently selected message, the selected message being displayed should format the text of the message to fit the current window size. Currently, if you decrease the size of the display window and make it narrower, the text does not format to still fit on the display. You currently have to use a slider to pan back and forth to read a message. Scaling the text as the window scales is just…

Pop Up is Annoying
When I make an action (file, delete, spam), the pop up not only lasts for like 5 SECONDS, but also just happens to sit on top of the actions menu. WHYYY???

Stop popping up the 'click to save it for later'
It hangs my browser. I click the up arrow to go to the next email, and that thing pops up . I can't do anything until I hit the x on it every time.
I'm just trying to hit the up arrow a few times to read my emails and now I have to go click the x every single time. -
BUG: Folder menu floating offset in Safari browser
I am using Safari browser Version 18.6 (18621.3.11.19.1, 18621) on a MacBook M1 Pro running Ventura 13.7.8 (22H730).
I drag and drop messages from my inbox into folders to stay organized. Recently, when dragging messages to the "Folders" icon on Safari, the subfolders popup menu that appears on hover is too far above the Folders button. The subfolders menu disappears as soon as I exit the Folders button hover area because the submenu is too far away. For now, I'm using the expanded left sidebar to avoid this.
This popup menu offset issue does not occur on Chrome browser.

needs some work
new email is confusing. When drafting, the send button is all the way at the bottom (along with attachment button), when composing, cannot tell where i'm writing if I scroll down to read previous information - lots of scrolling up and down. when reading message - you can see the vertical green bar, but even this is not easy to find if you scroll through the inbox bar. overall, it needs a lot more work as this is a lot more confusing to find where you are, where the information is, and where the sent button is.

Arrange buttons similarly from page to page for muscle memory organizing
Buttons are in different places when viewing Inbox and selected, then in another when an email is displayed. It makes for confusing and delayed account organization that the trash and especially read button & move buttons are reversed.
Via Inbox when clicked, the buttons are as follows: Archive, Move, Trash, Read/Unread, Spam, Menu
When inside email: Reply, Forward, Read/Unread, Star, Move, Trash Spam, MenuIt would be helpful if they were aligned the same in both places. Thank-you

Mailboxes at top of left side as before
Having the ability to select between mailboxes at the top is much more convenient as an end user than having to go to the bottom to select. Design from the end user's point of view. Most softwares do NOT think of things from this ipoint of view.

subtly highlight currently selected email
right now when viewing the content of an email, if I see all the emails, I have no clue of which is the email I am viewing at, they are all in the same style.
I suggest to subtly change the tone of the background of the currently selected email, the one is being viewed. -
When you hover over the list of mails with your cursor it would be nice to have a pop up like effect
In the simple way i think is something like a pop up hover effect like the tailwind code "hover:scale-105"
I think it's gonna be a small but huge improvement of the ui/ux

Hovering mouse over folder name in message list shows full folder name
When you search for all messages from a specific sender, there is a column that indicates the folder in which the message is found. If that folder name is too long it is truncated with an ellipsis. If I hove my mouse over the folder name, a tooltip should appears to show me the full folder name.

Some important functions disappear at certain levels of screen zoom
Because of my eyesight, I often increase the zoom on my screen. In this new design, certain essential buttons disappear "below the fold" and require either a scroll or even resizing the zoom level so it appears. This includes the list of MAILBOXES at bottom left and also the SEND button when composing a message.
These crucial functions should either be moved up to the upper part of the display or remain durable at the bottom of the screen regardless of the level of zoom. Or at least allow the left panel and the overall page to be scrollable so…

Upper part Search area space
The upper part Search area space and the menu bar space take up too thick area, almost one fourth of the page, if preview is open, the space for the mail is limited. It is barely workable with a desktop, for small notebooks, the screen size can hardly accommodate the mail area when upper and lower parts largely occupy the page

Provide a way to indicate that a mail item should be under a different tab
I see Social mail items when viewing the Primary tab. I only want to see them under the All or Social tab, not under Primary. Please provide a way to indicate that any mail items from the sender's address be moved to a specified tab.

Restore folder list, restore "Archive/Done" button, restore previous "new" Yahoo Mail
Three issues that still exist with the new Yahoo Mail interface on a laptop:
(1) Folders still are not listed. I spend more time reading and searching email than writing email. I used to be able to see if I had new email in a folder. Having the folders another click (and scroll) away makes it significantly less pleasant to use Yahoo Mail. There are no "double arrows" for folders in the new interface as documented by Yahoo. Please list the folders again, or at least make a setting so that users can choose to have them listed.
(2) When… -
Email Accounts Should Be At Top of Sidebar
The user's account is currently located at the bottom of email navigation bar. It should be at the top to make it easier to switch between email accounts.

Side Bar Width Can't Be Changed
The email side bar can be minimized or restored BUT in the Restore mode folder names get truncated as one cannot make the width of the side bar wider. Allow making the side bar wider so entire folder's name is visible.
