Simplify
Hello, can "Classic" Yahoo be restored? The new reader is too sluggish, too cluttered, and does not easily show actual sender email address without viewing the raw email.
Unfortunately, there's no reverting back, Steve. Very sorry! We are only making the new one better and will eventually EOL the old version. We really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance. Thanks!

Get Rid of Challenges / Streaks
Since we are now stuck with this ungodly abomination, get rid of the ridiculous challenges / streaks. If I want to check my e-mail it should not involve any stupid meaningless games or events.
Yes, we launched a fun way to reward our users for reading and organizing your emails, but you do not have to participate (not forced). Friendly reminder to always check your Settings. You can disable Streaks by going to the three dots "..." in the left hand navigation and then Your Streaks. Thanks.

Not touchscreen friendly
I use a touchscreen laptop to select multiple emails for deletion, but the new appearance theme doesn't show checkboxes to allow me to do that. This hover "smart" movement does not work well with touchscreen. Also, allow us to choose a font type/size.. makes it easier for those who have impaired vision.

Give us something that's not a Gmail clone?
Novel idea, go back to the layout you had before you decided you just wanted to be another GMail clone.
Friendly reminder to always check your Settings first. Yes, we launched some new things, but we almost always give you the ability to disable or customize to your liking. You can certainly disable Inbox Categories and go back to just one Inbox.

HI Mary, you can still search for emails with photos. Just tap on the "advanced search" icon to the right of the Search Box. There you can search for emails with photos, documents, etc. Thanks!

Haunted Inbox Challenge badge
I accidentally closed my inbox challenges does anyone know how to review Haunted Inbox Challenge badge? I can not see any challenges anymore and want to restore that feature.
Hi Erath, do you mean the Summer Challenge? That's the fun challenge we are running, Haunted Inbox was from last October. We are testing these challenges so not everyone sees them, therefore we haven't added "Awards" to your Settings yet. We will eventually!

I may stop using the new format if I can't see how many unread emails I have.

why don't i see a gear icon for the settings? why don't i see the "more settings" i am told to find when i search help? why don't i see any themes even though i am told to find them? why do i see purple and white as the only colors available for these words? why don't i have more settings to see the theme area?

Adding More Color Options & Themes to Appearance
Dear Yahoo,
Please add more color options and themes under the Settings - Appearance menu.
Currently, there are only three options: Light (white), Dark (black), and Device (half black/white).
The options are very boring and unappealing. I would imagine you could add a variety of color options and seasonal themes for users rather than just black or white which is disappointing.

More Customization
I love Yahoo Mail+, but I would really like to be able to customize the colors...am I just missing something?
Thanks Regina! We currently have no plans in adding more themes and colors to our platforms. We are trying to simplify everything as before when we had a bunch, there was very little usage. As in most of our Community stayed with the default theme. Hope this clarifies!

I don't have an idea, I have a complaint with my individuals folders I've created for specifics actions, where are my documents I've moved to those folders? And why are you picking and choosing what is stored in my folders I've created on my Yahoo account?

message deleted box
hello. new yahoo mail theme is so nice. but may you replace "message deleted" box to somewhere else. it blocks the delete button partially and it takes time to fade. thank you.

compact view - search by sender - no summary
Restore compact view - single line spacing.
Allow search by sender, not just by subject
Give option to turn off the Yahoo generated summary -

provide access to the old mail layout. the new layout is unusable. I cannot see the full info of the sender. without this I have to view each email to see if I can delete it. managing junk email is not possible any longer easily.
I doubt this will be available so it is time to complete remove my dependence on yahoo.

Dark theme not rendering emails correctly
As it says.. Using the yahoo dark theme option, If I add my signature to an outgoing email the signature retains its white background. if I select black background it looks awful when read in a white theme email box. And, for some reason, my mobile number appears white on white
Emails created in Mailchimp with borders in red render are rendering as white. They are ok in gmail...!
Hi Andrew, we tried replicating the issue above and couldn't.. it worked just fine for us. Can you tell us what browser you are using, what version and what steps you are following? Then we can try to replicate better. Thank you.

customization lacking in new (and in basic) mail client
The settings icon was needlessly hard to find. It should be in the upper right corner. In the new mail version it is buried under the folders on the bottom left. You have to click the three dots to find it in the expanded menu. There are only two theme choices (light and dark). There needs to be more customization (fonts, spacing, background colors, etc.). I miss being able to star emails directly from the inbox list instead of having to right click to see the feature. I like that there is an option to revert to the basic mail…

I had hard time switching from dark to light theme
It was so hard to find Settings button. All the help I searched leads me to my profile icon on the top right. I was able to find it on the bottom left at the bottom of my folders when I clicked the 3 dots.
Very hard to find settings. Just leave them under profile icon. -
Inbox appearance issues
How do I get the various mail Themes back on my desktop? They have disappeared from my desktop Yahoo account BUT are still active on my phone. (Same account)
