WHAT'S NEW?
Search by Sender - Just hover over the sender's profile image and a spyglass icon will appear where you can search all emails by that sender.
Multi-Tasking Tabs - Like before, open an email in a new tab.
AI Summaries - Ability to disable. Go to Settings > AI Features > Toggle Off
Number of Total Messages - Hover over the Inbox Icon and you will see both total number of messages and unread.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.

Resize Images - Resize an image within the message.
Inbox Categories - Default to "All" category instead of always Priority.
Right Hand Column - Ability to minimize: Contacts, Starred, More (Currently for Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers)


TIPS:
Inbox Categories - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Personalize Inbox.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Dark Mode - Go to Settings > Appearance.

  1. customization lacking in new (and in basic) mail client

    The settings icon was needlessly hard to find. It should be in the upper right corner. In the new mail version it is buried under the folders on the bottom left. You have to click the three dots to find it in the expanded menu. There are only two theme choices (light and dark). There needs to be more customization (fonts, spacing, background colors, etc.). I miss being able to star emails directly from the inbox list instead of having to right click to see the feature. I like that there is an option to revert to the basic mail…

  2. I had hard time switching from dark to light theme

    It was so hard to find Settings button. All the help I searched leads me to my profile icon on the top right. I was able to find it on the bottom left at the bottom of my folders when I clicked the 3 dots.
    Very hard to find settings. Just leave them under profile icon.

  3. Inbox appearance issues

    How do I get the various mail Themes back on my desktop? They have disappeared from my desktop Yahoo account BUT are still active on my phone. (Same account)

  4. Deletions and a Contact list

    I have to delete my emails one by one. I do not understand it. Can you get the extra deletion off the webpage.

    Can you have them delete all the emails like AT&T.

    You don't have any place for a Contact list. Can you have one?

  5. Include setting to customize appearance

    The lack of user appearance settings leave a more harsh black or white background, the white is too bright and dark lacks nuance or context to the inbox. A soft themed choice of color that shades darker at night would make using New Yahoo Mail more friendly to ones eyeballs.
