managing storage that works
the managing storage counter just doesn't work.

Hi David, thank you for your feedback. This is mentioned in our email communications and in the help articles, when you delete emails, you also need to empty your Trash folder. Once that folder is emptied, then you'll see the storage number decrease. We also recommend emptying your Spam folder. Thanks!

Select all emails and delete
We need a select all box so that we can select all emails and delete them. I get thousands of junk emails each year, and I refuse to delete them one by one. If you don't let me delete them all in under 5 minutes of work, I'm going to just let them pile up and waste space on your drives.
Hi Greg, thanks for your feedback. You can select all and then delete all. :) Just click on a checkbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and then Delete All. Hope this helps!

Allow control of delete confirmation popup
When I delete email there is a popup confirmation that overlays the icons. If I check the checkbox on some messages then select the delete icon the confirmation popup shows and stays for a while so if I select more messages to delete the trashcan icon is hidden by the popup.
Can we just have a setting to not show the delete confirmation popup or move its location so it does not overlay the icons.

fix the problems
1) when using the "block sender" function, the spam mails pop right back after choose "block and delete". 2) we choose to flip back to old yahoo mail but this function is not there any more... Please fix them. Thanks.
The best way to get rid of spam is to mark as spam, not delete or block! This helps with your spam filters and does exactly what blocking does, prevents that email from coming to your Inbox. So please keep marking as spam! It is free and part of regular Yahoo Mail. Thanks!

easier ways to delete messages
Right now my box is very full and I am trying to figure out how to delete the messages. This new format is not very user friendly. It is hard to delete large groups of messages which led me to have to delete each message by hand. Not sure if there is a course on how to use this new yahoo as it is definitely not intuitive for me. Right now I am seriously thinking of switching to gmail.com or another email site.
HI Stephanie, you can certainly bulk delete and delete all. If you click on a checkbox, a new checkbox will appear at the very top and from there you can select all and then delete all. You can also sort your emails by largest size, sender, etc as long as you disable Conversation view under your Settings. Last, you can go to your Manage Storage page and delete emails by attachments, size, etc. Lots of ways to get rid of emai.

stop covering the delete button when I delete on my web browser!
When I delete an item from my Inbox on the laptop, there is a confirmation screen that appears. The problem is that that screen sits on top of the Delete button so I can't delete another email w/o clearing the hover over. Thus TWO buttons to delete. Please adjust the location of this confirmation screen!

email deleting
I have over 160,000 emails but I can only delete 100 at a time. That would take so much time to go through and delete all of those. Why isn't there a system in place to delete them all at once.

allowing select all for offers, social and newsletter
you have these very helpful filered views across the top, next to all view and primary view - offers, social, newsletter. If I click on one of these it does not give me the select all box at the very top. I would love that!!!
Jennifer DHi Jennifer, looking at your Inbox if you switch to a certain category, whether it's Primary, Offers, etc...just click on one checkbox and a new one will appear at the very top. From there you can select all and then delete all. Hope this helps!

delete more than 100 emails at a time
I wish I could delete ALL emails or at least 1,000 at a time
I've been locked out of my emails since aug 2025 and I don't have time to delete 100 at a time when there are over 10K
also all the junk mail and constant spam mail should not count against me
You can delete more than 100 emails at a time. Once you tap on a checkbox, a new one will pop up at the top. From there you can select all and then delete all. At first it looks like you're checking 100 emails, but the floating bar that appears allows you and lets you delete ALL the emails.

Auto Delete
"Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All." - Only 100 messages can be selected at a time, requiring you to repeatedly scroll and select in increments of 100. This process is very time-consuming. It would be more efficient to have an option to automatically delete messages from a specific folder after a set number of days.
Hi Eric, actually yes when you do all of the above, it will select 100 but then a small window in the top, middle will appear and ask if you want to delete ALL your emails.

Fix a message-selection BUG
Please fix this bug promptly: I'm looking at the Offers category in my Inbox. I see a few adjacent messages that I want to delete. I click the checkbox on the first of these messages, then I hold Shift and click the last of these messages. Mail should select all of the messages between the two that I clicked.

Second request - please fix the broken "Block all Senders" function
I previously opened an earlier issue about how your "Block all Senders" function in the Spam folder automatically calls a "Delete all emails" function that operates EXTREMELY slowly.
I noticed that the behavior of that function has now changed - it is still just as SLOW as it always has been, but now it also... does not actually Delete anything.
The popup appears, says it is a deleting all emails, then... absolutely nothing happens. The emails are still there.
Please fire the moron who "wrote" this code sloppily copy/pasted from an AI chatbot and hire someone who knows how to…

deleting emails
There is no option to mass delete emails in just a few clicks on the new yahoo mail app.
Please restore the option where you can select the boxes "today", "yesterday', and "earlier this week"
That was the easiest way to delete mass emails.

Search for large attachments
It would be good to have a search possibility to find either large attachments or large emails so these can be identified and deleted. Currently this is not possible and it would nice to have such a feature so I don't take up unnecessarily large disc capacity.

Hi Knut, thanks for your feedback. You can find emails based on the largest ones first. When looking at your Inbox, in the top, right hand side you'll see the Sorting icon. Click on that and one of your choices is Largest First. Thanks!

Add the select all back to delete ALL of your messages at once
From any device I should be able to select WITH ONE BUTTON all of my emails to delete. This is literally the ONLY reason I use you email service. Add it back, please?

Better ability to stop spam.
I'm being bombarded by emails allegedly coming from a "firebaseapp.com" address.
Could you please find a way to stop this?
