Add the capability for users to BULK DELETE all emails in a category including main mailbox
Here's the setup - Last year, I logged into Yahoo mail for the first time in several years. I logged out years ago, because I basically abandoned this email account after spam filters failed to stop hundreds of spam and unwanted advertisements FILLED my inbox per day. I couldn't delete fast enough. My solution? Log out, eventually Yahoo would deactivate the account and all t he junk mail would disappear, and someday (last year), I'd log back in and be able to use it.
Well, that sorta worked. After I recovered my account, it was full. 5,000 emails and all but I think a dozen or so that I'd left in there a decade ago, and the account was useless. So, I spent nearly three days manually deleting 20 emails at a time because that was the limit. I think it still is.
Just the emails shown on one page. That's all I can delete? And even after being idle for almost a decade, my Yahoo inbox filled up AGAIN, as soon as I tried to use it ONCE. Talk about worthless. My opinion, side note... the entire email infrastructure, across all companies, web corporations and so on, is corrupted with spam from spam lists and bad actors, and opening a new email account simply results in adding another email server from which some spammy organization can drop something in, then use it to send spam EVERYWHERE. And then fill the NEW box up with junk email in the process.
I can't get rid of or block spammy junk emails just 20 at a time when this box has almost 2500 emails in it, probably adding 100 or more a day, too. This is awful.
Please. Add an option where I can click on one button and DELETE EVERYTHING in the entire account. If there's something in the first page or two that I needed from someone I know, I'll grab it before I delete all the rest.
Because, otherwise, this email platform is completely useless. I do most of my email stuff with gmail. I don't like them these days either. But there's less spam, and even google won't let me do bulk delete for more than just the current page. 20 or so. Dummies. But at least, Yahoo seems like its trying.
Thank you.
You can bulk delete in each of the categories! Just click on any checkbox and a new checkbox will appear the very top. From there you can bulk delete or select/delete all. Thanks.
