WHAT'S NEW?
Search by Sender - Just hover over the sender's profile image and a spyglass icon will appear where you can search all emails by that sender.
Multi-Tasking Tabs - Like before, open an email in a new tab.
AI Summaries - Ability to disable. Go to Settings > AI Features > Toggle Off
Number of Total Messages - Hover over the Inbox Icon and you will see both total number of messages and unread.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.

Resize Images - Resize an image within the message.
Inbox Categories - Default to "All" category instead of always Priority.
Right Hand Column - Ability to minimize: Contacts, Starred, More (Currently for Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers)


TIPS:
Inbox Categories - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Personalize Inbox.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Dark Mode - Go to Settings > Appearance.

  1. Keyboard Shortcuts

    Allow pressing delete key to delete checked emails. This is always how I used to delete emails before. I know it's not a huge deal to have to click the trash icon, but I can work faster on my keyboard and this shortcut was nice.

  2. Draft emails just delete while you are working on them

    Three times I have been writing an email and suddenly yahoo just says your email has been deleted. It just happened to me 11:47am 6/20/25 AZ time. I am so frustrated. I don't know why this happens and how to stop it.

  3. Protect Starred/Tagged Emails from "Select All" Deletion

    The 'Select All' feature is fantastic for quickly clearing junk. However, when 'Select All' is used, it includes emails that I have already marked as Starred (or otherwise "tagged important").

    My suggestion is that the system should be designed to automatically exclude any emails that are Starred/Tagged Important when the user selects 'Select All' for deletion. This would prevent accidentally deleting priority messages while mass-clearing the inbox.

    In short: Starred/Important emails should be protected from the 'Select All' function for deletion.

  4. email deleting

    I have over 160,000 emails but I can only delete 100 at a time. That would take so much time to go through and delete all of those. Why isn't there a system in place to delete them all at once.

  6. Delete all 'Adelphia' emails

    Search for all emails with @adelphia.net and delete them, I still have one, Adelphia went out of business years ago.

  7. Regarding deleting all messages

    The Yahoo instructions are a little missleading on this page: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/delete-emails-yahoo-mail-sln28054.html
    They say:
    1. Select 1 or more messages by checking the boxes next to the email.
    2. Alternatively, click the Select All icon Select all image in mail at the top to select all displayed messages.
    3. Click the Delete icon Image of the Delete icon. at the top of the page.
    4. Click Ok if prompted.

    2 suggests this is an either/or option, but you HAVE to select one message for the menu that provides "All" to appear. Otherwise, the only ALL to select is the one that

  8. FREE UP SPACE

    HOW ABOUT WHEN I DELETE A MILLION THINGS LIKE I HAVE DONE, YOU GIVE ME BACK MY STORAGE! THIS MUST BE A SCAM! I DELETED SO MUCH AND YET I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO STORAGE AT ALL NOW. MAKE THIS MAKE SENSE....I'M NOT PAYING FOR EXTRA STORAGE.

  10. Quick Delete?

    when I do monthly maintenance to delete large numbers of emails, it does not work properly. I select via date range (perhaps 2,000 emails) and when I delete it, it does not work properly. It only deletes the initially selected emails not the whole group. Please make it work properly.

  11. Backspace should not be a shortcut for "delete mail"

    Backspace should not be a shortcut for "delete mail". I unintentionally deleted a whole thread of email while typing my reply, just because my cursor was not on the typing area. In the begninning, I was not sure what happened with what I was typing because I was not paying attention, and I was trying to find the email again in my inbox to write my reply again but I couldnt find it.

    You need to change this to prevent accidentally deleting emails. You should have thought of this, but I guess you lack foresight.

  13. Delete By Sender

    Yahoo really needs a "sweep" function. I am sure I don't need to describe it, but it allows you to select one or more emails and "sweep" them to a folder, or delete. It removes all emails in the inbox from those specific senders and places them where you select instead of having to do it one by one or clicking beside each email. It makes cleaning an inbox more efficient and is a feature that has been around for a long time. It makes no sense that yahoo mail doesn't have this. Having to delete emails one at a…
