I have to add something else -- today my list of emails I might want to unsubscribe from included one that I had previously flagged as spam. My understanding is that you should NOT unsubscribe from spam because that just confirms to them that your email is real and actively used, but rather that you should flag them as spam and delete them, so you might want to look into this.
Incidentally, I get tons of emails from ".eu" domain names and they're virtually all spam, you might want to look into that for your spam filter.
While I can see that this might be a desirable feature for some, I would like to see the unsubscribe pop-up have a check-box for "Never show me this again." I subscribe to a lot of advertising emails, and delete them when I'm not in the market for those products -- that doesn't mean I want to unsubscribe, just I'm not interested in them right now -- I may want to see that company's emails again in the future. I would rather not have to repeatedly X out of the box offering me the option to unsubscribe. If I want to unsubscribe, I will do it manually.
Jake, if you click on More Settings below the appearance section, the choice to create filters is there.
I also find the "Top Results" section confusing. I often use a sender or subject search to find older blog digests, political emails, etc, and delete them if I don't have time to read them, so having a random selection of emails at the top is not helpful. If you are not inclined to eliminate this function, could you please give us the users one of the following options:
1) Give us the option to turn it off, or
2) Give us the option to decide for ourselves the criteria for what is shown as "Top Results"
