White is too bright dark mode is too dark, maybe letting us choose a color scheme for the header area that says yahoo mail like in the past would help dull the some of the white color brightness on the page, I had changed the theme color of the gray header area that says yahoo mail to green in the past classic yahoo and now with the new yahoo ui, my eyes can't adjust to the all white color brightness. I tried the dark mode but I don't like using dark mode when using email. Please let us be able to change color theme of the header area again. I have literally been trying different configurations to the appearance of the page all day today since the change and my eye cannot seem to adjust to the color. why is the white color so bright now!!!! My eyes can't take it, i want to leave the yahoo mail page, I have never felt that physical aversion to the white on the page with the previous yahoo so I am convinced the gradient of the white is different. Also because the white gradient color is different, the bold unread mail letters are too bold. I don't know how to describe it but my eyes just have a visceral reaction to want to look away from the color or something about the page that's harsh to the eye now.

I cannot get used to this new yahoo even after a week because it physically literally hurts the eyes the white color is too white. I looked on reddit r/email and other people who have used yahoo for over TWO DECADES talked about the white color, the white and black contrast of the color contrast of the page and font hurting their eyes and how people want to be able to put the color layouts/themes. Your customer base of nearly 30 years is saying their eyes are hurting, this is bigger than a layout ui change we can get over. Our eyes physically cannot handle the change it hurts our eyes! Some people on reddit were even saying to email the ceo to tell him this but I am not doing that but this change is too much. also I use dark mode for everything else but I don't like using dark mode for email and I am suspecting other people don't either.
