Thank you Donna. Everyone please keep posting these instructions as long as they last.

Oh and Yahoo darling: i am in fact taking screenshots of all communications here (just 'cause i know your wondering). And ya, screenshots of this absurd user "service" agreement you're trying to force on me that says in the fine print i must waive the right to enter into a class-action lawsuit against you. Its just 'cause, well, i just love you so much y'know, really.

TO GET BACK CLASSIC try this:

    1) Open and log into sh*tty new Yahoo email if you aren't already
    2) Copy this text: https://mail.yahoo.com/neo/launch?action=mails
    3) Open a new Chrome browser window while keeping sh*tty one open
    4) Paste the text into new brower window
    5) Close sh*tty new yahoo browser window
    6) if it worked, BOOKMARK copied link in new window (this is important as it will become your goto-button everytime you log in to get back to Classic)
    7) Raise middle finger of victory and KEEP SENDING YAHOO YOUR SENTIMENT

hahaha...and now Yahoo is putting up an "agreement" they want me to click on everytime i try to log in that essentially tries to get me to waive my right to enter into a class action law suit against them. Funny coincidence how this is popping up every time i do anything in Yahoo now. Gee they must really like me or something to be giving me all this attention. Too bad they seem to be spending more time and effort on people like me than on simply responding to user's complaints here. Chickenshyte frauds...

yup. Class action law suit may be the only way to go. Try this one to get back to Yahoo Basic:

Anyone, please feel free to copy and repost my instructions here as often as you like.

POSTNOTE: This is not a forum for addressing your complaints. It is just an outlet for people to cry about forced changes until it sets in that Yahoo is not going to reinstate the Classic mail that everyone here wants. The reasons have to do with a new system that is designed to better track everything you write or say in order to generate data patterns on everyone who uses the net. Reasons have to do with tapered advertisements, location tracking, national security, political power consolidation, but ultimately its just about control. We can cry all we want here. The only thing it will do is generate lists of people who are considered potential threats to the new system.

The only thing yahoo might respond to is a class-action law suit. Perhaps even better would be a new service provider jumping on the opportunity to take away all the disgruntled yahoo users with a mail format that is like the classic system and includes direct data transfer of all emails to said new provider. There is an overwhelming market here for any company that can step up to it.

Some here know that i've been posting these instructions for some time now. Recently i had to take an unexpected break. But i'm back again now. To post on these message boards requires a minimum age of 13 years old. Apparently Yahoo got sick of me posting this hack around their awful new system and actually went into my account and reduced my age to below 13 (!) Tuff gig to justify given i've had my yahoo acct more than 20 years. Perhaps they're trying to tell me that i'm being, uh, childish about continually helping people get back to Classic mail? Whatever. Interestingly however, this is NOT the first time that Yahoo staff has directly gone into my personal account and made changes due to my continually expressing outrage at their absolute blatant disregard for customer requests. They know that nobody wants these changes. They know good and well. "Gathering Feedback"..ha, ya right. But the fact is, they simply do not give a rats fat one.

Why? Well there are a few reasons. One is that Yahoo has become an overly corporate controlled mess full of so called leaders who really don't know much what they're doing and have to justify their over-compensated pay rates somehow; hence "improvements" by said "experts" MUST be made. Another is that if they push the garbage new system for free they can then offer to do you the "favor" of changing it back if you pay for their service now. Heck you've registered your email and domain names with them so all your social and business contacts are used to reaching you in a certain way, so they figure why not use that control they have over the contacts YOU'VE built up over decades to force new changes on you, right? I mean after all, if you don't like it they can sit back smugly and say that you have options: to move to a new "provider". At your own time and expense. At your own efforts to inform all the contacts you've built up over years to adjust to your new info. No problem.

But that's not the ultimate reason. The most fundamental ultimate underlying reason for all these garbage changes is something they really really don't want you or anyone to know about. If they did, they would simply state why it is they are forcing everyone to endure these changes without explanation. The real reason has to do with a new system that is monumentally easier for everything in it, (and i do mean EVERYTHING...everything typed, clicked, and sent) to be MONITORED. The new system includes extreme monitoring capabilities; everything you write in an email or message, or even write then edit and finally send, can be tracked and searched for patterns. Coupled with advanced computing capabilities, such patterns can be used to deduce nearly every detail about an individual. Routines, interests, contacts, just about everything really. This can be used in a variety of ways: advertisements tapered specifically to you, knowledge of your daily routines for tracking purposes, terrorism and natl security threat detection, U-name it. And while a ton of excuses can be used to justify all of this snooping, what it really boils down to is just flat out CONTROL. Try having a deep conversation with a typical CEO and you'll get an idea just how much control-freak paranoia characterizes those running anything at the top level.

So i think people can protest here until they're blue in the fingertips about how much they dont want yahoo measuring thru every inch of **** that comes out our butts. Ultimately yahoo cares not at all what we want. But again, since i obviously in Yahoo's eyes have the mental level of a sub-13 year old, perhaps i'm just a whiny child with nothing really worthy to say. Right yahoo? Guess they'll just keep on trying to figure out ways to censor me. Whatever. If thats how i'm viewed, i might as well keep writing like a child. Yahoo: suck mine and swallow all nine. Try not to choke on the bone, yo. Have a nice day.

Scroll down to my earlier post for instructions on how to get back to Yahoo Classic. And understand that this is NOT a forum for responding to your complaints. Rather it is a forum for Yahoo to see who will be troublemakers that resist the new system they are forcing on us. They have no intention of going back or offering a real choice. The only thing they might respond to is a class action law suit...

Right yahoo? Guess they'll just keep on trying to figure out ways to censor me. Whatever. If thats how i'm viewed, i might as well keep writing like a child. Yahoo: suck mine and swallow all nine. Try not to choke on the bone, yo Have a nice day.

Ultimately yahoo cares not all what we want. But again, since i obviously in Yahoo's eyes have the mental level of a sub-13 year old, perhaps i'm just a whiny child with nothing really worthy to say. NOTE: Everytime you log back into blahoo it will default to the new sh*tty format. If you have the link i showed you bookmarked, simply log into the sh*tty one and then immediately click the bookmarked link. It should bring you straight back to Classic.

Thank you Stephanie and Mudar for backing me up; please feel free to re-post my instructions periodically. Most insulting is that the only reason we seem to be getting away with this is that blahoo admin are not even reading a single word people write here. MFOV and good luck to all.

Everone wants Classic back, but i doubt Yahoo will listen. The new mail allows for greater tracking and spying so they can analyze every word you type as well as shove ads down your throat. Nothing is free here. BUT if another company wakes up to the fact people want yahoo classic, please step up so we can all switch. Yahoo simply isnt going to learn or care.
