Quiet!!
Loud advertisements are NOT okay. I want to quietly read news stories, and I suddenly get blasted with obnoxious noise. Horrible!

better editorial control of headlines
This is a read-a-lot-into-it biased headline:
"Trump says he would have tried to stop Parkland shooter--with his bare hands."
Not really, although he sometimes maybe thinks he is Chuck Norris, he SAID he would personally go into the active shooting building even unarmed, and IN THE CONTEXT of wondering why fully trained cops who deal with bar fights and domestic violence and all kinds of gunfire maybe didn't rush in to save kids.This is FAKE NEWS (the over-the-top headline before you click to get the merely biased one):

Admit it up and realize your newer page designs are horrendous!
There is so little space left for the actual article because of comments popping up from the icon on the left side of the page and laying over the actual content of the story. If people want to read comments, they can go to the bottom of the article for them. Your banner at the top takes up too much space. The pages are on sensory overload and I resent having to turn off every video. Gifs in comments are enough to send someone into an epileptic fit with no way of stopping the animation. Make it simple and sleek…

It would be really cool if you stopped posting articles with spoilers in the headlines. I’ve seen two this week! I like to check your yahoo homepage on my phone most days but it’s frustrating that you put the spoilers right in the title of the article. And it’s not like it’s even an article way down in the depths of the news posts, they’ll be the in the first few articles you list. But regardless of where it’s placed, it’s still really frustrating!

You can sure humiliate the most innocent people just to get a headline. I am no longer reading ANYTHING that you post. Please do actual research before writing a news article. Citing people on Twitter is not news in any way, shape, or form. This is lazy and is certainly the lowest form of 'journalism' there can be. Try harder!

Stop plastering the pages with negative or hate-related headlines. Example: "Not Good Enough: Lindsey Vonn's haters return to ridicule..."
I was checking NHL scores and saw this headline across the top and I immediately became disgusted. I did not click on it. Why in the world would you post something like that? Does it mean anything? No. Does it bring an ounce of good to anyone? No. Is it harmful to at least someone? Yes - and that, to me, matters so stop with ignorant posts Yahoo!

To many pages
I believe we all understand your existence is based on advertising dollars. We can only take so much, stories that lead you through multiple pages to see one paragraph and all the ads is a bit out of control and annoying. Most often I will give up and google the story so I can read it as it should be.I believe your viewers will agree, Ads are ok nothing but ads is too much. Think about all the advertising that dosn't get seen because the out of control advertising.

Why is there often an active click zone next to the vertical scrollbar?
Many times when I am scrolling down a news story, the mouse slips off the scrollbar. Right next to the scrollbar is an active click zone the length of the scrollbar that loads the Yahoo home page. I accidentally click this and lose the story.
Get rid of this click zone!!!!!
Also get rid of the balloons from the right bar that expand over what I am trying to do. They are also active click zones that take me to the wrong place.
Your pages are getting harder and harder to navigate.

disable clicking anywhere on the page takes user to homepage there is an X for a reason
i click on the page to get focus back to the browser and it send me to the home page making me lose where i was. Have to go back and find my place again.
