"Fire the moron that took down comment section" - I'm guessing the "moron" in question is the nephew and/or boyfriend of some overstuffed Yahoo or Verizon exec, who propbably cannot stand to see his personal heroes like Donald Trump criticized in any way. It is EXTREMELY frustrating not to be able to comment on what a piece of **** Ted Cruz is for running off to Cancun while his constituents freeze, and just a couple of weeks after incompetently trying to foment a Fascist coup, to kiss up to a con man who didn't hesitate to call Cruz's ugly wife what she is.

The Yahoo News articles are not worth reading without having a comment section attached to each article.

It's BAD ENOUGH we have social medias like Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc. that CENSORS our world, I NEVER-EVER thought Yahoo would do the same.
As far as I'm concerned, if you're going to CENSOR, take your business to some DICTATORSHIP country and live the way you want.
OH, you can't live the way you want in a DICTATORSHIP country? Well DUH! WHY FORCE IT ON US? -

This is just one more feeble attempt by the msm to silence anyone with differing opinions. The msm is a monolithic group comprised of Kool-Aid drinkers who would sacrifice their integrity before ever giving dissenting voices a platform. No doubt they will reinstate the comment section as soon as the election is over. Journalism is dead.

If Yahoo was clearer about the removal of comments and the process of taking a "survey" in the meantime, that would make this look more legitimate and also give some sense of when comments will return and with what changes. Instead, this period of no comments and a "survey" button under each story just leaves people in the dark and allows conspiracy theories about what Yahoo is doing. Give a timeline for reporting on the survey or when comments will be allowed again--something to provide a more positive view of what's happening. I want comments to return, hopefully with a few positive changes in it such as improving the ridiculous auto-censor functions. But I don't necessarily buy into the conspiracy theories of the right or the left on the reasoning behind this (temporary?) removal of comments. I'm more concerned about the content of the various sections than about some suppression of views. As it is, the warped views of various commenters who are ill-informed, bigoted and just plain hateful are nothing to celebrate having space for.

I agree wholeheartedly! If they turn the comments section back on after the election, we will know that we are being silenced.

This is liberal Yahoo's way of stopping independent thinkers from voicing their opinions and stacking the deck for Democrats to win their elections. This is how Hitler controlled the people by what they were told and what they were to believe. Yahoo can't handle the truth.
