Please help. Several comments I posted were rejected for reasons that seemed unfair. Has Yahoo blocked me from participating in the Comments? I have not found an way to determine this even after following instructions to fix accessing Comments. Thanks

Sometimes while I'm typing a comment or reply on the comment section of a news article, the page automatically refreshes and my text is wiped away. I know you don't have to allow the page to do that. So please, make the page logic recognize that I'm typing a comment, and disallow page refresh until after I have successfully posted my text.

I've tried loading and reloading Yahoo News stories with the new comment formatting on Chrome, Safari, and Firefox, and there's no notification bell to alert commenters as to whether there are any replies.
Enagement with other commenters is the SOUL of Yahoo News comments and the reason we're here. PLEASE fix this bug before offering a wide release of the new format.

To whom it may concern,
I’m writing as a long-time Yahoo user to express frustration with the current state of the comment sections on Yahoo News articles.
Over time, the moderation and visibility of comments increasingly appear one-sided and ideologically skewed. Many users have noticed that viewpoints which lean conservative or challenge prevailing narratives are frequently down-ranked, hidden, or removed, while other perspectives remain visible. Whether intentional or not, the result creates the perception that Yahoo is promoting a narrow ideological viewpoint rather than allowing open discussion.
Comment sections should be a place where readers with different opinions can debate respectfully. When moderation appears uneven, it discourages participation and undermines trust in the platform.
Yahoo has long positioned itself as a major news and discussion hub. For that reason, it’s especially important that comment moderation be transparent, balanced, and respectful of diverse viewpoints.
I encourage Yahoo to review its moderation policies and algorithms to ensure they promote genuine open dialogue rather than amplifying only certain perspectives.
Thank you for taking the time to consider feedback from your users.
Sincerely,
Ron Nelson

It is impossible for me to log into the comments section of any news story. I can log into my Yahoo news account in the outside frame of a page. But the comments section always asks me to login. When I press the "Log in" or "Signup to post" button, it brings me back to the same page and asks me to login again. Please help!

Fix capricious comment banning
← Yahoo Homepage
Your idea is being processed and will appear shortly
PLEASE FIX THIS !! I am a longtime loyal Yahoo user who does not deserve to be treated this way.
On December 29th, per instructions from a Yahoo Help representative in Estonia, I filed a report, reproduced below, that for several months I have been blacklisted from commenting on Yahoo News stories. Although I have received no follow-up response from Yahoo, I have been hoping that the situation would have been resolved now by now; but today - January 1, 2026 - I made a two-word "Test comment" post that appeared to have been accepted. However, after only a few minutes had passed, I received the by-now familiar e-mail message that "Your comment on Yahoo has been rejected," saying "Your comment on 'Videos released in Epstein files raise fresh questions about jail footage' violates the community guidelines and has been rejected"
PLEASE FIX THIS !! I am a longtime loyal Yahoo user who does not deserve to be treated this way!
Here follows the text of my report from 12-29-25:
Notify Yahoo News users of being banned from commenting, and how to resolve.
Ladies and Gentlemen: I just now talked to a helpful Yahoo representative in Estonia, and he directed me to this site for resolution of my problem: For more than two months now I have been effectively blacklisted from making reader comments regarding Yahoo News articles. No matter how respectful, benign or "vanilla" my comment - such as "good point," for example - it appears to post, but then I soon receive an e-mail message saying that I have "violated community standards" and my comment has not been accepted.
I have received no notice or explanation that I have effectively been banned from commenting, or how to go about resolving this ban, but it is quite apparent that this is indeed the case - even though I have always tried to be respectful and non-controversial in attempting - albeit unsuccessfully - to comment on various Yahoo News articles.
Please tell me how to go about resolving this exasperating dilemma!
Thank you and best regards, MarkT markt_a1b@yahoo.com

This site has become a daily run down of Trump's propaganda and attention-getting comments. I acknowledge that he is grandstanding and creates stories that get clicks. Please discontinue using sources designed to enable his chaos.

How about some balance in your news coverage? You should be embarrassed that you feature "news" sites like the Daily Beast. It's not news it's pure propaganda. I fully expect that your realize this and don't really care about impartial new coverage, but you need to hear about how half the country views you.

Almost ALL of your news feeds appear to come from radical left wing, "progressive" (so-called) outlets (MS NOW, HuffPo, The Guardian, BBC, CBC, NPR, etc...
Please STOP! It's so obvious that you're trying to manipulate or 'convince' the reading public, rather than report. Your own biases have the opposite effect, actually... Regardless, please stop - And offer perspectives from Right leaning publications - WSJ, Daily Wire, NY Post, Washington Times, Blaze, The Free Press, Washington Examiner, Free Beacon, BreitBart, NY Sun, etc...

While logged in: Y! News article COMMENTS prompt login in an endless loop. 'login' & 'sign up' appear at the top, while attempts to write a comment or even reply to a comment have 'sign up to post' button in place of 'post'. Multiple browsers on multiple devices - all cache cleared, all restarted, ALL Y! account settings reviewed thoroughly: to no avail. Useless Ai bot was, well, useless, per always. Any pathway through support/contact lead to 'unavailable at this time' [midday on a non-holiday in the US]. No private feedback even exists to notify you of a you problem. The single change I can identify is seeing, for the first time: Minnesota Privacy Act info. After all basic troubleshooting, multiple devices, different OS, different browsers all generating the same result: my best hypothesis is some new dysfunction relevant to that. Again, went through all Y! settings in every category - nothing about enabling or disabling comments. If you've somehow concluded Y! News article comments isn't compatible with the Minnesota Privacy Act: would sure be nice to notify customers of that. Already wasted too much time on an issue that isn't mine to fix - hopefully this is sufficient for it to be resolved.

In recent weeks my ram usage has shot through the roof with your yahoo news pages open. Your website has become laggy, and slow to load due to excessive ram usage. Windows PC. This only occurs when Yahoo News pages are loaded, and does not occur as a result of any other activity. I am a web dev for over 25 years. You guys need to lose some weight before I go somewhere else instead.

I have been with Yahoo for over 15 years and use the news articles daily. Over the last five years there has been a dramatic shift in a political bias on your website which tries to hinder or suppress comments who have conservative views or differing opinions from Democrats/liberals, marking their comments as against your policies, when other posters with the same exact comments, do not have the same rules. My account was currently banned for God knows what and I am no longer able to sign into comments, which I think is absolutely ridiculous on your part. At one point you had commenting turned off for all your articles. If you can’t accept views from both sides, you should turn comments off.

Your website (check Reddit threads on this) often instructs people who are already logged in to log in or create an account. Fix this bug. I can always go to MSN.com for the same basic thing: news aggregation. You have nothing special, so fix this bug.

It is 8:00am on Sunday March 8 and Yahoo has just reported that Russia has attacked Bahrain.
Russia HAS NOT attacked Bahrain, it is a typo on Yahoo's part.
How can a concerned Yahoo user contact Yahoo to report this egregious news error on the part of Yahoo and prevent Yahoo from suffering consequences for their error?
