Why do I have to watch a 30 second commercial for 20 seconds of news. It's ridiculous! everytime I click on a news story I have to wait ad
You cant watch even the shortest clip without first having to watch a full commercial. Then you move over to another news item and have to watch another commercial. AND they are not short commercials. Sometimes the commercials are longer than the news item. CAn't we be reasonable with this? Let me watch some content before you flood me with commercials and stop selling advertising like news items for which I have to watch a commercial beforehand to watch the stupid infomercial.

I've stopped viewing Yahoo News stories that go to video. All it means is that they lost half of my time on here in one fell swoop. It means nothing to me to go elsewhere for video news, but if lots of people do it, it will mean something to Yahoo. I can't be the only one shutting them down when their links take me to their videos.

If I can't skip the ad, I just close the page and go on to something else now. There is no news so important that I have to watch an ad video longer than the news video

Until we start paying a subscription fee, dvertising is absolutely and entirely what Yahoo is here for. If they could get us to sit and watch NOTHING but ads without having to create any content, they would happily do that. Until we stop watching, they will keep adding the ads. Get frustrated enough, leave. That's the only way to get their attention.

The bad thing is that I have to watch it over and over and over. Watching it one time should be sufficient. You think after the third time I am going to change my mind and run out and buy whatever they are advertising?

Advertising supported news is fine. But making me watch commercials in hopes that I will catch the ocassional news clip is ridiculous. I agree!!
