I strongly suggest you hire some competent editors, or at least proof readers, who can spell and understand the proper usage of the English language. These two consecutive sentences were in the header of an article about the Fort Hood killings, see if YOU can find the TWO errors before looking at my descriptions:
Obama to Ford Hood Shooting Victims' Families: 'You Gave Your Sons to America'
First Lady Michelle Obama joins her husband for somber memorial at sight of fatal shooting.
In the first sentence the name of that site (notice my use of this word?) used to be FORT Hood. In the second sentence, how can there be a memorial for a SIGHT (vision) rather than for a SITE (place)? Or had she there to observe the occurrence of the incident (which is what sight means)? Notice how I used the word "site" just above, again?
The quality of news presentation is becoming tragic. Some of our students pay enough attention to articles presented in print format, newspaper or online at sites such as this, that YOU are teaching them the wrong use of our language. In the past editors, publishers and reporters would have been ashamed of such improper usages. Have you no shame for these errors?

Often, this content was not created by a Yahoo employee, and in fact, most of the news links are outside sources.
I completely agree that all news outlets should hire persons who are qualified, and then proofread their articles.
A big part of the problem is that young people are coming out of school without knowing how to spell or even structure a sentence in English. When all you do all day is text slang and emojis your grasp of the actual language suffers. Sadly, this is probably a problem in other countries as well. -

Agreed! The spelling/grammar in the articles is abysmal.
Some are even justified in the center, instead of the left, making it even harder to read.
Poor quality editing! -

I can't believe that any editor would allow this headline. Who's running this news service, Muslim terrorists??????
