Allow comments on more stories
I've noticed in the last few weeks that more and more stories do not allow comments. This started with the Katie Couric articles, but now it seems that about half of Yahoo articles do not allow comments.

Exactly. And sometimes it has a comment link that does not work, or it switches to the new format where you cannot see your own comments anymore or it simply goes away later. I also have the feeling that inconvenient comments (i.e., non-left comments or anti-big-government) tend to miraculously not post or disappear.
I also noticed that some comments don't let me thumbs up or down while others above and below do. Oddly, those are usually the comments that deserve feedback. I think there's censorship at work.
Lastly, I noticed that the more controversial a topic, the more likely it is not on Yahoo so we cannot comment. Or it is but does not have a comment option (first observed with Couric, then others). Really, the main reason for being on Yahoo is to read and post comments on news. I can get better news reporting elsewhere.
