Just FYI, my league, which has used Yahoo! for over 20 years, is switching to another platform next year because of this.

I use the message board for all my historical tracking. Unless there is another option for me to track league votes, rule changes, etc. this could be a major issue and could cause me to leave yahoo for sleeper.

I don't know why you would remove this important feature. Not only does it hurt baseball, but in the football league I am commissioner of it is used liberally, with a weekly update, that has gone on for 15 years, with (actually correct) league records that are easy to look up, and communication that is all in one place. It is the center of our league.

While I am here, since I don't usually make suggestions, I will say this one off topic that has bothered me for years. The absolute worst thing about your fantasy platform is the inability to search by name when creating a draft list. I have self created draft list each season, and sometimes more if I play in different formats, and they literally take forever to find each name and put it onto your list.

On any other site, you can type in the first several letters of a name and it pops up, and you can move it onto the list. This has been the standard for, I don't know, 15 years? It can't be that hard a program if people have been doing it that long. You have the ability for your player lists, now you just need to move that over to the "Edit your pre draft player rankings" area.

The message board is key to our league. We have a short off line draft and use the message function to control the draft. There is no easy to a char board for just our league and fantasy wide chat is useless for league issues. So now we need to apparently use email which is substantially more cumbersome than a league message board.

Message Boards are crucial to our communication. I have never met most of the people in my league, so this has been our way to communicate. When we talk smack about each other it is not just for a single person to view, it is for everyone to get a laugh out of. When we make changes or propose new ideas for upcoming seasons it is sent to our email, because no one wants another platform online to have to check. This really is a bad move and I hope it does not break apart leagues we have spent years cultivating because of the lack of communication going forward. Obviously we will try out the chat and hope that it works. What I would be interested in is the reasoning behind the decision. Why was this change needed? I don't mind progress, but I hate reinventing the wheel for no beneficial purpose.

Is the irony apparent to you that you are using a message board to announce the removal of message boards and requesting answers on the use of message boards?

How are we supposed to talk smack to our opponents w/o the messageboard?

It is obvious Yahoo is not bringing back the message boards. I believe the reason is because Yahoo is trying to utilize AI (Artificial Intelligence) to "try" to enhance the user experience. AI is much easier to apply to a chat platform/functionality rather than message boards. What does this mean? It means anyone left on Yahoo will never know how many real people stayed on their platform. With AI, an online company(.com) can easily mask it's user-base without having to take the necessary steps to ensure there is a platform that "people" really want. With all this said, It's best to leave and come back after Yahoo realizes real people are not dumb, and AI will never replace the human condition.

Please bring back the fantasy baseball message boards. It helped foster a league identity and assured our group stayed together doing these sports for the last 20 years. Being able to discuss things like sports or life was easy and built a sense of community.

I am in year 14 in the league I run. We have used the boards for minor league drafts, rule proposals, future draft pick trading (beyond the single year Yahoo offers), placing players on Long Term IR (unique league rule), promotion/demotion, prospect lists, and much more. Since you have removed the boards, we have transitioned to a Facebook Group and utilize Facebook Messenger instead of your chat. In other leagues, we have been required to do a write up on why we made a trade, so that would have to be done elsewhere now as well. The decision to remove the boards was a poorly thought out decision.

5th yahoo draft done. You're messaging app is a fail. Totally not supportive of what leagues need to do. Pinning won't work either. You guys lost touch with your product you bought. Does Verizon know how bad you guys are with these awful platforms and worst decisions in yahoo history?

Not a threat, just a fact, We are already thinking why wait until next season to go to Fantrax. As soon as we figure out a way to manually input our draft here, 2 out of 8 are for sure leaving and in the process. This sucked way beyond belief with yahoo not allowing message boards.

This is one of the worst decisions - the message board is the only place for all to communicate on the same messages!

Why would you do this? I really don’t get it. We used it to talk trades, to talk smack, to have fun. It’s a basic fun part of the game, why on earth would you take it away?

Please get your act together and add some kind of message board for this year. Emailing everybody is a major hassle, especially since they can't respond to that email. I've lost teams in a keeper league because of it and I don't know if everyone is even going to be at the draft. Please give us a basic message board for this season and implement your deluxe one next year like you plan

I am Comissioner of a league 16684. I am unable to contact one of my league members and our whole league may collapse over my inability to contact him.

Hi - please bring back the message board feature. That is how my league was made aware of important league deadlines, etc. Your note said that the message board was being replaced with something called "fantasy chat." The problem is, I don't see "fantasy chat" anywhere. League members need to be able to refer to and respond to important league announcements which are prominent on the page when they log in. Fantasy chat is useless because nobody knows where it is.
