[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Feedback regarding the removal of message boards from Fantasy Baseball in the 2023 season.
Fantasy league message boards are not going to be available for the current season however you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. You can continue to communicate with your league via Fantasy Chat, email and commissioner notes. Moving forward we are investing in chat as the best place for league communication and will be adding threading, pinning, polls and more. We welcome your feedback below about how your league used message boards to help us make future improvements.

I have been in a yahoo keeper league for 21 years and will absolutely leave for another site if the message board does not come back.

Why were message boards deleted? Our Leagues rely on the message boards more than the chat boards or email.
Will the message boards be added at a later date.
My leagues will be forced to move to a different platform if we dont have a message board.
Please HELP! -

Message boards are a critical communication tool, and removing it without offering another solution is far from optimal.

Removing message boards without warning? Ridiculous. It's where our league stores invaluable information about upcoming seasons, rule change agreements, draft order, and more.
If we'd had any inclination that Yahoo would delete 20 years' worth of league history, we would have archived it. But they didn't, so we didn't.
Chat isn't a substitute, it's a joke.
If Yahoo doesn't correct this, our league will move to another platform. It's the only reason that most of our managers even have a Yahoo account, so apparently this is an effective way for Yahoo to reduce its number of users and number of eyes on ads they sell.
It's as simple as this, Yahoo: fix it or we're left with no choice but to leave. Do better.

Feedback regarding the removal of message boards? This shouldn't even be necessary, because we should still have them, or they should've been upgraded a long time ago. I can't fathom what good this decision is supposed to do. How are leagues supposed to have formal communication? How are announcements supposed to be easily accessible? How can offline drafts work for dynasty leagues? Oh, and since yahoo is so ridiculously slow to update the player pool with new players and statuses, how are we supposed to compensate for other yahoo deficiencies without a messgae board?? The only option is the chat feature, which can never be as organized. This platform was a joke before this, but now we don't even have the message board feature to make up for its deficiencies.

It's ridiculous to remove messages board, a feature as old as the early days of the internet. There's no better way to categorize topics for a long-standing league.

We NEED the MESSAGE BOARDS restored in our leagues asap! Impossible to function without them. Please restore the MESSAGE BOARD immediately so we can play baseball on this format.
THIS IS THE WORST CHANGE YOU HAVE EVER MADE BY FAR!!
We need the MESSAGE BOARDS for our offline drafts.
We need them for posting saved prospects because pre-draft the NA slots are missing and during the draft we need to see which prospects are already saved by others so as not to try and draft them.
We need them for trades involving NA (prospects) since Yahoo doesn't allow an NA to NA trade without having to drop players from the active roster - terrible programming so our commish has to manually make the trades. But to start the process we need to post the trade on the MESSAGE BOARD with both managers confirming the deal.
We need them for announcements by the commish and discussion of possible rule changes.
None of this stuff can be handled by the tiny chat app. It is filled up with sometimes hundreds of comments etc and you can't find who is drafting next scrolling through that many comments and GIFs etc or which prospects an owner is saving. It is useless for this stuff.

This was a horrible decision and will cause many leagues to leave the platform. Without a centralized league message board to communicate it makes Fantrax more and more appealing. I have played on Yahoo 20+ years and this has been by far the dumbest change I've seen you make. Please bring back the message boards and restore the historical message boards as well.

May have to leave yahoo now. This makes it impossible to communicate in leagues. Can't give out keeper rules, vote on rule changes, draft times etc. Really bad decision by yahoo.

With all due respect, its a huge mistake not including message boards! We do our offline draft through the message boards. Trades are discussed etc. and the whole league can view everything being discussed. The chat box isn't near as useful! This was probably the last straw and it might be time to find another fantasy service. This is a huge disappointment!

Message boards are crucial for posting league rules, tracking statuses and updates. and ERASES THE HISTORY OF OUR LEAGUE THAT HAS BEEN GOING FOR YEARS. This isn't right and the fact you did it without ANY warning is really wrong. We will be moving on from Yahoo

Our league relied on the message boards. We might switch to Fantrax now

Please put the "Message Board" back on Fantasy Bsaeball. It is essential to communicate with the league members. It is also a large part of the enjoyment of the game.

After reading all these comments,,I am just left shaking my head, the people running Yahoo are supposed to be smart-bright people, and they go and decide to remove message boards,,with ZERO warning and no common sense -insight,READ the comments Yahoo,,your Site is as good as dead, regarding Fantsy league's,smarten up!

Also, you removed all messages from previous years without ANY NOTICE! What a horrific blunder for leagues relying on previous years' message boards to keep information. BRING BACK THE BOARDS!
-

Yahoo! Please take this very seriously! You're killing your leagues! The boards are vital to running these leagues - whether it's for important conversations re: league setup and decisions, trade arguements, communication between managers, and just regular ol' smack talk and FUN. You are digging your own grave here by removing this! PLEASE BRING THE BOARDS BACK! Without boards, I have to move my leagues to another site, as much as I'd hate to do so. If this is going to bleed into your other fantasy sports and not just baseball, you MUST REVERSE THIS DECISION. we all managed to live without .gifs, but this is just TOO FAR.
