Draft Now?
I was logging in to draft for my regular league and a draft now function put me in an instant draft? I now have a team I must abandon and it will effect my standing with you all. I don't understand how or why this happened.
Hi Gabe,
The league that you signed up for through the Draft Now button is referred to as an "Instant Draft." This means that you're automatically placed in a Public League once you enter the draft lobby. Once the draft room opens, it's not possible for you or Yahoo to remove or transfer your team from the league.
I apologize that we can't be of more assistance, but do know that you're not obligated to visit the team pages for the entirety of the season. In the Yahoo Fantasy app, you can either hide your league from the home screen or customize league notifications using the steps below:
Hide your teams:
- Tap the Profile icon at the top left.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Customize menu.
- Tap Hide next to any league you want to remove from the home screen.

- Tap the Profile icon at the top left.

Custom auto draft
You should be able to customize your auto draft if you can’t make the draft. Example tell auto draft you want 5 WRs, 3 rbs, 1 QB, 1 Kicker. Etc. that would be a cool feature. Then you wouldn’t have to worry about how many qbs you drafted. You can actually get the best player at the positions needed.

Make it so when you pick draft order and snake it - it stays that way and doesn't just change in the 2nd round.
We held our draft yesterday and the draft order in the 1st round was one way, (I had the 8th pick) and then in the next rounds, I was moved to picks 20/21, 40/41, 60/61 etc. Some how I moved from 8th pick to the last picks of the 10 team draft. Pick 8 should snake to 2nd pick being pick 13, not picks 20 and 21. This is totally unacceptable, you ruined our draft and our league. How can you not know how to snake a draft, you have done it correctly in the past. This probable the last…

Pleae explain why my leagues have not been assigned
I signed up for free fantasy football league.auto drafts. I have 3 teams and all say waiting for assignment. NFL season starts today and still no league assignment. What is going on?
Thank you for reaching out regarding your leagues not being assigned. You will need to change your draft status to ready first. It will say "Currently awaiting league assignment" to the right of your team. You can click on the team name and then change your draft status to ready on the right side of the page. The league will draft within 72 hours after changing your draft status to ready.

Draft TAB
Why would changing the draft date suddenly ignore the custom draft pick order? We changed the date of our draft and it randomized our picks again. Why would the first randomizer not lock - sure have a way to unlock it, but for it randomize the whole draft order AGAIN because you hit the SAVE button is not solid program logic. I suggest separating these functions out and not tying them together. We had to pause our draft when it started, restart the draft, wait for it to load and manually adjust. Auction Auto draft screwed our league
Hi, this is our 25th year on yahoo and we do an auction draft. One guy decided to auto draft this year and it did such a poor job that it affected our draft and league. I would expect Yahoo would have this fugured but it obviously failed. Please review the draft and see how that lack of participation affected his team the league throughout. I know that this will probably be nothing to you guys but to us it matters. What a failure it was and I dont even care about this year.
Thank you for your feedback regarding autopick. We will pass it along to our team. In salary cap (auction) drafts, it is recommended for managers to make their own picks. Other managers often outbid autopick for the most desired players because autopick caps out at 120% of the default value or at your pre-draft value.

Improve Auction Draft Layout
Hello, we have been using yahoo auction draft for 15 plus years now. The new format was awful. It was very hard to track who was taken and for how much. If that’s not fixed for next year we will be moving to a new site.

Suggestion on shorter timers for auction draft
Can I suggest having a shorter timer for nominating players during an auction draft? It would be great to have the minimum nomination timer set to 10 seconds, similar to the bid timer.

You can set it to this time by following these steps: Commissioner tools >> Draft & Keepers >> Salary Cap Draft Settings.

Need a start AutoDraft Button
I manage a H2H league and I always set the Draft to Auto each year. Once I have locked the team and set the Draft to "ready" there is no way to know when the AutoDraft will occur. You need a button for Commish that says "Start AutoDraft Now"

We have 4 teams and the commish is reporting to us that you're reporting to him that we have an odd number of teams. Can you get this fixed yesterday? I'm already at a disadvantage with my knowledge level of football, I need to be able to research my players before the season starts... and today is the only day I can spend a little time on it...

Your updated draft board.... Big THUMBS DOWN.
I hate to tell you, but the new interface was less than usable. For example, looking at stats, seeing who drafted who, general usability was way below previous years. It made interaction with the other teams hard, sorting and searching players and stats difficult and was a less than pleasing event. I understand that you were trying to make it better, but you missed the mark.

ATL RBs Bijan and Brian Robinson are both listed as B. Robinson
Can you please do something to differentiate between Bijan and Brian Robinson? Both are listed as B Robinson and both play for Atlanta, so Auction Drafts are susceptible to people nominating Brian and causing issues for commissioners to have to sort out.

QUIT CHANGING THE DRAFT BOARD
Every year you change the draft board, now you've managed to make it the worst its ever been. We can't even make a pick. Go back to the draft board you had 10 years ago and don't change it. If this draft is being used next year I will quit using YAHOO

Improve auto draft
There was a person in my league that was forced to miss most of her picks because she has 4 little kids that were keeping her up. Auto draft drafted 5 QBs in a 1 QB league. With one of those QBs being Jimmy Goropolo. Now her season is pretty much done unless she gets lucky picking up players on the waiver wire or trades. Auto draft needs to do a much better job at actually getting players a person needs.

- If a manager does not attend the draft or leaves the draft before it's over.
- If a Private League using head-to-head scoring has an odd number of managers 1 hour before the draft, a live draft will force-change to autopick because head-to-head only supports an even number of managers. The commish then needs to either switch to another scoring method or get an even number of managers and reset the draft.
Details on how autopick selects players
- All starter positions are filled before bench positions.
- You can't designate which round a player is picked or a position is filled.
- Each round, autopick drafts the highest-ranked (pre-rank, then default rank) available player based on your position needs. The system determines…

Fix your auto-draft
I used auto draft last night because I was not available for the draft. It obviously is not linked to how my league is set up. It drafted 2 QB's that are 2nd string and 5 other players with zero projected points for this coming season.

Fix Live Draft Bug ASAP
The new live draft platform jitters or jiggles a lot. The Board view jitters, the player view jitters, but not the queue. As I was clicking "draft" on a player, it jittered as i was clicking and made me select the wrong player in the 10th round which forced me to recover the screwup for the rest of the draft. This obviously is not acceptable and needs fixed ASAP.

Having an issue with browser lock up during mock drafts
Hi Yahoo Fantasy,
First of all thanks for putting together an excellent platform for NFL Fantasy Football. Have played the last couple years and the platform and features have been great.
I have a question in regards to lock ups happening on mock drafts. Has this come up with other players and if so is it a function of my browser, the connection or your platform? Also, any suggestions regarding if my browser does get hung up? I don't want the system to auto draft for me.
