Remove Waiver Setting Disallowing managers to waiver a recently dropped player
There is a mandatory setting that disallows managers from submitting waiver claims on players they dropped. This rule does not make sense. The managers would be “penalized” for dropping and waiving using their priority or FAAB. Everyone should have access to everyone.
Example of why it’s bad. This season I dropped a backup, RB. In the game the primary got injured and he became the guy. I had #2 priority and wasn’t even allowed to submit a claim. Our #10 priority got him, but not even on his first claim. He submitted two claims, got his first and then claimed…
Thank you for your feedback regarding being unable to place waiver claims on players who you have just dropped. It isn't possible to place a waiver claim on a player that you have just dropped to waivers except in leagues that utilize FAB waivers, but we appreciate your feedback regarding this and we will pass it along to our team.

League Settings
In the league I'm in the waiver setting is set to "rolling list based on standings" and it also locks eliminated teams, so the league I'm in I got into the playoffs as the last seed so I assumed that I would have first priority in waivers each week. However once playoffs start it only goes to a rolling priority, but it doesn't say that anywhere in the settings. It would be great if we could get something in the settings informing users that waiver settings change for the playoffs and it's based on a rolling list instead of standings

Potential Waiver Process error
Reference FF with a Knuckleball (ID# 237752)….Submitted waiver claims for defenses on November 25th for Week 13 processing…
Our league showed there were submitted waiver claims for three defenses at 2am CST. None of the league managers submitted a claim for a defense. Is it possible Yahoo’s server did this in error? Can I please get a response?
Thank you for reaching out regarding the waivers in your league. Multiple defenses were added by teams in the morning on November 26th. None of these adds were waiver claims. These teams added these defenses as free agents. The managers of these teams made these transactions.

Rolling Waivers needs to be fixed !!
There needs to be changes to the rolling waivers model. Its too easy to "game the system" and gives an unfair advantage to guys that are willing to set their alarm clock to wake up in the middle of the night to claim free agents that cleared waivers!!

Waiver wire - dropped player
I hate that you can't use a waiver on a player you've dropped. I understand there need to be some limitations to keep people from abusing the system, but it can also be used as a strategy. If I have to drop a player because of byes or injury, but I have a high waiver pick and feel I can get that player back, I should be able to. If I want to use a waiver spot and am willing to go to the back of the waiver line to get them, why is that a problem??

Improve the flaws in your waiver system.
In this league a team named Aiyuken did an add/drop at 5:41 pm thursday and I did none. We both put in a waiver claim for the same player but Ayuken was awarded the player. I should have been higher in waiver priority.
Your waiver system is messed up. Based on settings it should not have happened.Thank you for reaching out regarding the waivers in your league. The other team won the waiver claim because they had a higher waiver priority than you when the claim processed. The waiver priority for teams only changes when they add a player via waivers. If they add a player as a free agent, their waiver priority will not change.

Free Agent P/U and dropped within a time range
If a manager picks up a player then (before any game is played) drops him, player should still be a free agent. That's what I though happens, isn't it? To prevent someone flipping the entire list of active players back to waivers. Yahoo Prize H2H-Pts 1123034, Njoku was p/u as FA and hour and half later, dropped for another. Njoku should have been FA still. What if I needed a different TE at last minute (and had been thinking of him but went with Waller) I don't think the manager intended that maneuver, but rule needs to be in place…
Thank you for reaching out regarding adding/dropping players. If a player is added as a free agent and dropped the same day, the player will be a free agent and they will not go on waivers. If they are dropped the next day or later, they will go on waivers.

Make waiver order drag and drop style, not click and re-order
It takes so long to change waiver claim order, especially when you have 10+ claims. If you could drag and drop claims to re-order them it would make it so much faster. Almost every other platform does it this way and it's way better.

I have a few suggestions - you guys don't offer nearly as much features as other platforms
1.) I should know the exact times waivers will run. One time I stayed up Wednesday until 3am est because I wanted to pick up players after the claims were finished. The waivers didn't fully clear until 6am some time although some cleared. Shouldn't this be automatic??
2.) Your database should include more stats when an fantasy owner is searching for an available player. For example, I think it's very important to know how many passing attempts a QB has made in comparison to his completions. I also think its extremely valuable to know how many kicking attempts a kicker…

Thanks for reaching out regarding the QB change that you tried to make. It looks like another team won the waiver claim for Daniel Jones as they had a higher waiver priority than you when the waiver processed. They were second in the waiver order while your team was eighth. After they won the claim, they moved to the bottom of the waiver order. Your league uses the continual rolling list waiver priority setting and more information regarding it can be found here.

Guillotine league feedback: add weekly low-score waiver reseed + show weekly scores list
Hi Yahoo Fantasy team, (and yes, Warning: I did use ChatGPT to make my rambling thoughts make sense)
Our league has been running for years, and we were excited to try a full Guillotine format on Yahoo this season. First, thank you—the auto-cut feature has been great (despite one hiccup last week). The two places that are making commissioner work harder than it needs to be are waivers and weekly score visibility.
1) Waiver priority options (feature request)
In our commissioner settings, the tooltip suggests there are multiple waiver types, but we only see:

Wait to show FA after waivers clear. Let waivers clear at 8 AM EST
Waivers do not need to be clearing at 4:18 AM CST. That is ridiculous. Make the waivers clear at 8 or 9 AM EST and don't show the available FA until after waivers clear

Unable to confirm waiver claims in Guillotine League
I'm having functionality problems, in that I am not presented with the confirm button when trying to make a waiver claim submission.
I've tried with a different browser. I've deleted all cookies. I've signed out and signed back in, nothing seems to work. Everyone else in our private league says that the "confirm" button is available to them.
I was able to successfully make waiver claims using the app on my phone. But my preference is to do everything on my laptop because it's just easier there.

Add option for fantasy football weekly waiver period to end on Wednesday
Adjust settings to allow for weekly waiver period settings to end on Wednesday as an option. Right now the options only allow you to end on Tuesday. Other sites have this as an option already.

What happened to stat projections?
Player projections for this week still haven't been updated and it is Wednesday. Makes it hard when picking up players. I used to like Yahoo better for it's player stats and projections, but if this is how it will be we may go elsewhere next year.

Optional waiver
Idea is to have waiver position optional on a pending transaction. In our league many of us wake up at 3 am to do roster moves without using the waiver order . By having option to not use waiver and complete transaction when all waiver moves are completed will help get some sleep. Obviously if another team has the same transaction then waiver order is needed or allow user to have choice to say don’t use waiver and only add if nobody else has a claim .

Need instructions for IR player claims
A fantasy football league I'm in, 707559, allows 2 IR slots. I tried claiming an IR eligible player today (3 Sep), but it wasn't allowed, with no explanation why.

Guillotine leagues waivers
Hi,
I've run a guillotine league for a few years using yahoo. Had to manually drop the players immediately Tuesday morning but it worked every week to match with the Wednesday waiver date. Obviously this year will be much better with the new Guillotine settings.
My reason to reach out is about waiver options. We have done waivers based on WEEKLY points. Meaning if you score the 2nd lowest amount of points, you would get the #1 waiver spot the next week.
I will still need to manually set waivers each week. Not a big deal. But was wondering if…Thank you for your feedback regarding waivers for guillotine leagues. We will pass it along to our team!

NONE WAIVERS - Fix the start time of the following week!!
In 2024 the "None Waivers" changed to the following week starting on Sunday @ 11:59pm. That causes a lot of problems. 1. You can add a Monday night player Sunday night, drop them Monday morning and they stay in your lineup and get points while you stash another player. 2. If a Monday night player gets hurt on Monday you can not add a back up for the current week. Our league has been None Waivers since 2009 and it was never like that. This change makes no sense. PLEASE FIX

If a manager wants to use a player for the current game week in a league with on waivers, they will need to add the player by 11:59 PM PT on Sunday. Otherwise, you will need to reach out to your league commissioner to edit the roster for the current week to use the added player.

Consistent/Set Time for waiver claims to be awarded
It would be nice if Yahoo would make a set time each week that waiver claims are awarded… Every Wednesday at 2:15am, all waivers will be processed. It has been all over the place for years. Why can’t this be done at a set time every week and be consistent?
