Rosters - Position eligibility requests 2025-26
Position eligibility requests for the 2025-26 season.
We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.
Full list of updated players for the 25/26 season: https://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/hockey/playerchanges?type=pos
As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players who haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them, and you won't be able to assign Forwards or Defensemen with Goalie eligibility and vice versa. Commissioners can add new positions using the steps here: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/position-eligibility-fantasy-hockey-sln7057.html

Commissioners in Custom Leagues should have access to control / modify Position Eligibility for specific players, which could be chose as custom or Yahoo! Default.

HINTZ isn't a centre. He's won 28 draws in his last 8 games. Please make the change and make him a CW.

Mathew Phillips was called up to the flames he's RW but is labeled as a C. Not sure he's played center in years, at least 2 years anyways.

Not sure why there's a feedback section when all requests are ignored. Look at the the amount of requests for Hintz. He should be C/W. Please look at all the requests.

Tage Thompson should be C/RW
Him and Skinner alternate draws
If you gave Jack Hughes LW, TT should get RW as well

Without a doubt, Roope Hintz should get winger eligibility. I agree with not caving into the other requests but this one just seems like a miss at this point.
Thanks.

Add C to Duchene . You guys even wrote an article on him while placing him as a C yet you only gave RW as a position

Why does it take so long to update these positions when you clearly have hockey fans shouting at you multiple times to make certain changes? Doesn't make sense to me. These are clearly your super users and it doesn't seem like you are listening to them.
Since Novemeber 25th, here are top asks for positional changes and how many people have made that request:
Roope Hintz - add W/RW eligibility - 24 requests
By not making this change, when you are making other changes to positions, you are saying that 20 avid hockey fans are wrong.

It would look like Dallas has Hintz playing C, but he isn't generating any FWs, which means from a fantasy standpoint he is playing WKevin Hayes - add W eligibility - 12 requests
Here is a lineup card from a reputable website showing him playing W
https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/philadelphia-flyers/line-combinations/Jack Hughes - add W eligibility - 7
https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/new-jersey-devils/line-combinations/
This line-up shows Hughes at C, but Hulua is taking all the draws. Same argument as Hintz, Hughes should have W eligibility added.Michael Grandlund - add W eligibility - 3
https://www.dailyfaceoff.com/teams/nashville-predators/line-combinations/
Here is a lineup card with Granlund clearly playing on the W. Not sure why this change wouldn't happen.I would love to hear or see a response to this request. I dont know how else we can collectively make it clear to Yahoo who should have what eligibility. It's not like we are asking for Sidney Crosby to have D eligibility. If I was an employee at Yahoo, I would thank my super users for making my job easier with an email/request like this.

Roope Hintz C/RW, PLEASE and thank you. He is on a line with Jason Robertson (LW), and Joe Pavelski (C/RW). It makes no sense that Hintz is strictly center for that line if Robertson is on the left and Pavelski on the right, yet Pavelski has C/RW designations. Seeing as Pavelski and Hintz alternate positions, hence Pavelski having dual eligibility, it only makes sense that Hintz has the same designations as him. Hintz plays as much of a dual position, if not more, than Pavelski does.

Hi guys.. what is the delay with not giving Hintz winger status? He doesn't take draws. Pavelski plays on his line and has C/W. Look at all the requests for the change to be made. Could you please add C/W to Roope Hintz? We've been requesting this for weeks. Thank you.
