Rosters - Position eligibility requests 2025-26

Position eligibility requests for the 2025-26 season.

We will continue evaluating players for new positions going forward and make updates where appropriate.

As of 10/4/23, we added the option for Commissioners to award position eligibility to players who haven't earned it by Yahoo Fantasy's standards yet. Keep in mind, this tool will only allow commissioners to add positions, not edit or remove them, and you won't be able to assign Forwards or Defensemen with Goalie eligibility and vice versa.     Why are you ignoring the requests of players that are held by multiple teams across your platform to change their eligibility? A lot of us have $$ on the line in these pools. Please don't continue to ignore your super users.

    Why does it take so long to update these positions when you clearly have hockey fans shouting at you multiple times to make certain changes? Doesn't make sense to me. These are clearly your super users and it doesn't seem like you are listening to them.

    Since Novemeber 25th, here are top asks for positional changes and how many people have made that request:

    Roope Hintz - add W/RW eligibility - 20 requests
    By not making this change, when you are making other changes to positions, you are saying that 20 avid hockey fans are wrong.

    It would look like Dallas has Hintz playing C, but he isn't generating any FWs, which means from a fantasy standpoint he is playing W

    Kevin Hayes - add W eligibility - 8
    Here is a lineup card from a reputable website showing him playing W

    Jack Hughes - add W eligibility - 5

    This line-up shows Hughes at C, but Hulua is taking all the draws. Same argument as Hintz, Hughes should have W eligibility added.

    Michael Grandlund - add W eligibility - 3

    Here is a lineup card with Granlund clearly playing on the W. Not sure why this change wouldn't happen.

    I would love to hear or see a response to this request. I dont know how else we can collectively make it clear to Yahoo who should have what eligibility. It's not like we are asking for Sidney Crosby to have D eligibility. If I was an employee at Yahoo, I would thank my super users for making my job easier with an email/request like this.

    How come Granlund of nashville STILL DOESNT have RW??????? He has played much More games on RW than so many other moronic players and still hasn't deserved the RW slot.......? Unbeleavable.

    Why is Jack Hughes listed as just a Centre when he very rarely plays centre and rarely takes faceoffs?
