I am member of an 11 year yahoo fantasy hockey league and everyone including myself wants to leave yahoo for a different app due to Y+. Y+ puts setting your lineup behind a paywall, ridiculous. Please switch back as we are already looking at different alternatives like sleeper instead of yahoo for next season. Android users are able to avoid this and install an older version of the app, iphone users are not able to do this.

Hello! I noticed you guys removed “start rest of week” as an option for Yahoo this year. I REALLY enjoyed that feature, and now it seems to be only for Yahoo+ users. I get it, but I will likely switch to ESPN or Fantrax as that was a VERY useful feature for me for fantasy sports. Anyway, just wanted to let y’all know that I think that feature should be made available for free, as it’s likely gonna have me using something else going forward. Best of luck out there!

I have played for the past 5 years in a comp, the fact I can no longer set my team for the week without paying every week means this will be the last time our group ever uses Yahoo! A really really awful update, please remove this feature as it an otherwise awesome app!

Allow users to set weekly lineups again without having to pay a ridiculous fee to subscribe to an unnecessary subscription. I’ve commissioned my league with yahoo for over 15 years and if this isn’t made available again, we will be moving to one of the many other platforms.

I run two leagues and participate in three others and have had several people let me know that they will not be playing next year if that feature is only included with the Fantasy Plus subscription.
Most of my friends are busy people with careers & families, and life obviously comes before fantasy sports, and they rely on that feature to be able to compete.
We understand that Yahoo! is a business and wants to encourage people to subscribe, but I believe that you will lose a significant amount of users for making this feature that is relied on to play only available to subscribers.

Terrible money grab. Please restore the ability to set a lineup for a week rather than making me go into every individual day.

First you take away the old method of setting line ups and force people to do the drag and drop that takes three times as long and now setting the line up for a week does not work. This site is becoming unusable.

It appears that the ability to set rosters for the week has been hidden behind a paywall. If that is the case I will be moving all of the fantasy leagues I'm in away from yahoo at the end of the season. Not sure why you would actively make you product worse outside of just being greedy as ****. Smh

Hi, I am a commissioner for multiple fantasy football and basketball league. Getting managers signed up for football is easy. Basketball is not the same. There is less interest in fantasy basketball by far (as i am sure you know). On top of that, it takes way more attention to run a team (much like fantasy baseball), so those managers have to be more dedicated to keep the league competitive. A selling point to get managers to play was the "start active players" for the entire weekly matchup button. This was the only reason some of the managers in my leagues have played. Now that is gone and replaced with a button that you have to subscribe and pay a fee to use. Really!?!?!? Do we want less people to play fantasy basketball??? I am still on board with having to have a subscription to "start optimal players" like it has been in the past. This is pretty ridiculous though. I already have had 6 managers in our 20 team league say that they are out next year unless it goes back to how it was. Honestly, if it doesn't we will probably move the league to a different platform.

This is an outrageous surprise and incredibly disappointing. We've been using the yahoo platform for our league for 21 years. I don't recall ever being informed of this shift, and its expensive! I don't really see how we can continue with the yahoo platform for season 22 if this fee is going to be in place.

Not an idea, more of an "official" complaint.
Putting the "Start active players->Rest of week" behind a paywall is probably the worst idea you guys ever had.
But even if you disagree with my opinion and think it's a solid business decision, myself and thousands of non-U.S.-based players can't even buy a Fantasy Plus subscription due to it not being available in our countries.I've been playing fantasy basketball on Yahoo since 2013. This year I moved one of the two leagues I am a commissioner to Fantrax because of the flexibility (waiver times, among other useful settings I can change). I kept the other in Yahoo because of its more casual nature, but had I known you would have removed the "Rest of the week feature", I would have moved it to Fantrax.
Bring Rest of the week back, at the very least for us non-U.S.-based players!

Thanks for ruining basketball. Please don’t do this for baseball. It depends on people setting their lineup for the week

Dear Yahoo Fantasy Basketball Support Team,
I would like to request that the platform revert to the previous roster management settings (as in the 2024–2025 season), specifically:
The ability to “Start Active Players” for the entire week in one action — a feature that made lineup management much easier and efficient.
The simpler and more stable roster change interface, which previously applied lineup adjustments in real time.
This season (2025–2026), there appear to be several changes that make roster management more cumbersome. For example, player swaps or lineup updates are often not reflected immediately, requiring a manual refresh or date change before the updates appear. These issues are more noticeable when using the desktop version.
In comparison, last season’s setup allowed managers to set active players smoothly and confidently without delays or sync issues.
We would greatly appreciate it if the platform could restore the 2024–2025 “Start Active Players” system and stabilize roster changes to reflect real-time updates. These adjustments would significantly improve user experience for all fantasy managers.
Thank you very much for your attention and continued support of the fantasy basketball community.

It is ridiculous that basic user functionality is being stuck behind a paywall. Everyone should move to a competitor unless this change is reversed.

Making the "start active players for the week" a paid only feature is a terrible, and short sighted decision. Why would anyone continue using a platform that moves core features of their site to paid only, with no warning?? I was a die hard Yahoo person for 15 years, thanks for the memories. On to the next one.

Let us start players with games for the whole week. This optimal line up is garbage. No body cares about your optimal lineup. Let us click a button to start players with games like last year.
This change will make me leave yahoo. Its that bad.
