Basic Mail provides base functionality like reading and writing messages, but does not include many of the advanced options. To use these features, we recommend upgrading to full-featured version of Yahoo Mail.

  2. Two good things: one click spam and one click signify. The worst thing about the newest version: the addresses are too long - can't put abbr

    Go back to the previous version. Newest is good with one-click spam and one-click sign off. BUT, can't fit more than 2 addresses. No more nicknames.

    Maybe I'll go back to gMail. :(

    I have over 21,000 emails in my inbox....most of them are junk/spam

    I would like to see an EASY <EMPTY> button for inbox just like you have for deleted and spam

  6. Please stop asking me to authenticate my identity via my phone. That's what my password is for. I waste so much time.

    Please, please, I do not have time to waste when I log in, to wait for a code to be sent to my phone or alternative address. My password is pretty safe. Please, it is so annoying and burdensome. This is my main private account, but if it continues to be such a burden to log in, I will have to get one in google.

  7. Allow me to scroll through the ads on the right side of the screen.

    A number of times I have clicked an email to read it when the ad on the right side of the screen changed to something I might want to read. Allow me some means to scroll through the ads manually.

  10. I want to have list of unread messages only

    Let there be a button that shows only unread messages rather than having to search for unread message in the mist of read message(s). This is really necessary because recently, a message that has been read over 3 week ago will suddenly appears as unread and now, you need to start searching for the message in an ocean.

  14. How do I contact Yahoo via email to ask a question about the use of a graphic from one of their pages that says it is in the public domain?

  15. In "Recent Activity", eliminate "Sign Out".

    It makes no sense to allow someone to "sign out" an entry in the "Recent Activity" list. If I can sign out (and eliminate the listing of a session) then so can someone that's compromised my account.

    Also, "sign out" is a bit misleading. It sounds like the user may still be logged in somewhere (even if they've most certainly logged out). It should just be called "delete", because that's more apt to what you're doing. But again, I don't think being able to delete entries from this list aligns with the goal of a recent activity log.
