Spam
There is no indication that there are any email in the Spam folder. It is necessary to open the folder to check. A simple number next to the spam heading would suffice, just like that used for the inbox, as it used to be.

Secondary Spam Filter. I'd like to see a secondary SPAM filter folder. I like the way I can click on SPAM and the email servers start sending all similar emails to the SPAM folder.
But what I'd like to see is a second folder with similar function that doesn't delete as often. One that I can tag emails as Advertisement? What I mean is that a lot of places Like Walmart, Canadian Tire, Micheals, WD.COM, T-Mart and the like ask for my email address to send me sale information I'm only marginally interested in at the time, BUT would like the option to browse at my leisure without having them piling up in my INBOX. That way my INBOX isn't cluttered and things would be easier to find.
Thanks, Thom

I liked the previous format where the number of spam was indicated in the column to the left. That number reminded me to review the emails identified as spam – I have missed several important emails that were NOT spam!

Why was this feature removed or forgotten to be implemented in New Mail ? This is an important feature that visually notifies the user of messages identified as spam and to verify that they are not legitimate mail.

The old version of Yahoo Mail, showed how many emails are in the spam folder, without having to hover the mouse over the folder itself. I missed 4 important mails when I changed over because of this ridiculous, backward, regressive idea. What is wrong with you people. You claim you're improving things but make them worse. I am back to the old version.

It's obnoxios. I've given feedback. The last thing I need is more steps in my daily tasks. The answer is NO to all your questions. always. Just let me get my email in peace. I hate Gmail, but at this point, I'm ready to switch all my accounts over.

(I KNEW I opened well more than one email acct elsewhere at the time for a reason. Had a feeling one day Yahoo! was going to go this route. Logging in to Yahoo! Mail only to need to repeatedly use the "spam" button for essentially the exact same thing over and over is old. Not interested in Infidelity Life or credit scores anyhow. If I need those things, I'll get them. No need for an ad to "inform me they exist". See ya!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why is so much SPAM going to the inbox, INSTEAD of Spam Box ??

I am creating filters to send emails from a certain address to the SPAM folder.
After I save the filter I see the correct set up that I made.
After some time (I don't know after how long) I check the setting of the filter again and it says: SEND TO INBOX instead of SEND TO SPAMI checked because I noticed I was still getting emails.
What is the cause of this?
Please fix it ASAP
I am getting spammed by stupid online shops that I don't know where they have my email from. -

If there is something unread in my Inbox or unfinished in my Draft folder, there is a number there that indicates as such. Why all of a sudden, does nothing show up next to Spam? How is anyone supposed to know if something has inadvertently found it's way there and even more frustrating is that Spam folders are no longer even visible on my Android phone? What the F are you people doing?

Not to worry, I will be abandoning Yahoo forever as soon as I get to a point that I think nothing of importance is left with this email. After years of being a yahoo user, this sudden surge in Spam was the last straw.

Not liking your new format very much: I can't think of one thing I consider an improvement over the old interface. Most annoying: 1) where's the help button? I want to add a contact info footer to my emails! 2) I subscribe to mailings from dictionary, Wayland Patch, and Weston Patch. These now go into spam and although I move them to inbox, yahoo doesn't get it--just keeps plunking the stuff in spam. Why don't you let me decide what is spam? In the old format, it took only one assignment to assign or reverse a spam designation. FIX THESE THINGS!

In the spam folder you have given us the selection to block the email in the folder and there is a check box to delete it. The items disappear from the folder but reappear in less than 30 seconds. This needs to be fixed.
