Email Virus? Adware? Spyware?
I get an audio message with big red page warning message do not turn off computer it is infected. About 7,8,9 times only in Yahoo email. No other place. I'm at the point to where I don't even want to login but I've had the email addy fior a decade or so.

This has been an ongoing problem for months now. This is a serious issue. You are allowing malicious people to use your platform for nefarious uses. I have not clicked on one of what appears to be a Yahoo sanctioned virus yet but I'm sure many have. You have been aware of this practice for some time now and have done nothing about it. Again, this is a serious issue. Do you intend to, (or can you), bring a stop to it?

The new IP is 192.241.130.4. I have reported the IP to their ISP this time around for fraud and abuse.

The new IP to block this week is 198.199.74.39, they avoid using DNS so that it is not easy to block using a hosts file. Yahoo please stop taking money from advertisers supporting this fraud.

This constantly happens when Yahoo Mail is open. The page redirects to a red page and starts shouting "Warning your computer has been infected with a virus. Call the 800 number listed to speak with Microsoft support." Yahoo needs to find out what ad or add-on is causing this and block it already. Completely inexcusable that Yahoo allows this to happen. Makes me want to go through the headache of changing all my emails to Gmail.

Please police your advertisers Yahoo! This is an embarrassing lack of oversight allowing fraudulent abuse of the ad systems in yahoo.com and yahoo mail. In the meantime, block IP address 138.197.2.225 if you are an affected user. Google 'Block IP' and and the Quora listing has instruction to do this with netsh command.
