How can we improve New Mail?

I prefer a light background with BLACK ink.

My 62 year old eyes don't want to deal with white font. Please have at least 1 choice with a black font.

    I prefer a black background with white or monochrome-green font. NEEDS TO BE HIGH-CONTRAST for readability. Blue, pink and orange are the absolute worst colors for any screen to be legible.

    Improve contrast - the font is too thin / light.

    Want email messages listing section to be a softer, light colored background. Not bright white. Too much contrast.
