I have been using yahoo mail for around 15 years, for last few years I have been facing very poor performance. it takes time to load the mail and it doesn't react immediately to perform any action. I have to wait for few seconds to work with the mails.
its dam slow, but when I see gmail it is really good to work with emails.
I don't want to switch to gmail, because the only hope I have is that yahoo mail will be improved(performance) in future. -

Stop being stupid and bring back the old format. This new one is absolutely terrible. Slow, buggy and poor design. If I can't revert to classic, I am changing providers, sorry.

Fix the slowness of the yahoo.com program it takes forever to load and is like watching paint dry. I have 100bps and takes forever for yahoo.com to load just to even enter my email account

I hate this new email. It's so slow I can't type anything. Could be faster with a hammer and a chisel with a piece of stone. What stoner came up with this ****? I want my old mail back, or I'm switching to Google mail.

I am not able to use the new yahoo mail with any success. It is too slow. I couldn't even give feedback as my message froze. Please fix the problems. This is not a good change. It is terrible and I am considering moving to another site even though I have had an account with you for many years!

I am not happy with the 'New' Yahoo email, which I was obnoxiously and repeatedly prompted to switch to.
I am already unfortunately inundated with hundreds of daily email to sort through. Slow! Screens jerk + jump around. Extremely frustrating....
What happened to the 'People' option! The 'Social' option, the 'Promo' option!? I can't spot what I need to find anymore without spending endless time searching :( I'm ready to ditch Yahoo altogether
I suggest a few additional categories: Political, Environmental, Commercial to help filter out the bottomless articles, petitions, fundraisers and ads -

Keep getting error messages saying, "Unsupported Browser." But, when working in large government organizations or corporations, you have no control over what browser addition you work with. Please go back to the way it was before. Very slow, messages won't load. Terrible.

Before I wrote that it looked like hundreds of e-mails that were supposed to be filed in other folders are in my Spam folder....NOW it looks like thousands of previously filed e-mails are in the Spam folder...the folder just keeps loading e-mails...
What is up Yahoo....fix this problem....don't need any more problems or slow service from Yahoo....it would be a somewhat of a hassle to change to another e-mail provider but I am just about ready.

Every now and then when I go to yahoo mail; my computer freezes and is non-responsive. Something needs to be done. Keep me informed of any suggestions you may have. The Yahoo server appears to be slow.

Folder and subfolder view is cramped. Cannot change visible width. Not able to see full folder name in new format. Also new mail is slow. I want to go back to old one. How to do it?

Please move the search icon (magnifying glass) to the far right of the email header frame. Unless I am being very slow and careful with my mouse placement I click on the search icon almost every time I try to open a message. Irritating enough to have me consider forwarding my yahoo account to another email app.

Why ever time I try to add a link in the body of my email does it push it to the top, above where I am saying "hi"? Seems slow and colors are hard to read.

This last feature for Yahoo that will force me to install an ad on browser so I can stay signed in all the time is ridiculous. The yahoo email UI is already slowing down my system and adding this add ons will exacerbate the problem. My advice is to simplify the entire thing and minimize JAVA structures to eliminate hacking and settle to our good ole PHP. People doesn't need a colorfull email. We need efficiency.

The readability of this new email is very low. Unable to scan quickly through the read/unread emails. Relying only on bolding and unbolding of font to differentiate between read and unread emails is not working very well. It slows down any user who is trying to quickly scan through the emails. This is grave a UX issue. Please fix, if possible.

Very easy to maneuver, not slow on my end at all. Settings for your email viewings is easy to find - I was excited for the multi tab function. Everything is straight forward, I am a fan.

Inlining images is sooo screwed up.
1) I can see the inlined image when composing an email, but the recipient might only get an "inline image" text instead of the image itself.
2) When composing with more than one inlined image, it just gets messy. While writing text the cursor just jumps randomly apparently when each image is finished uploading (I'm on a slow internet), but then some images will be shown and others will just say "inline image". This while still composing. -

old format is the best. the new on is too slow and has too many ads. I thought that was a no brainer! Which idiot came up with this idea ?

Its better than before. I hope its works well for slow connections too. The yahoo top bar and search bar is really really huge. It should be much smaller.
Also the email threads visible when using side pane view, should have an option to show only the sender and subject. -

Poor NEWS page!
The MailPro is okay, although I expect a faster system for the money. But your NEWS and Comments sections (I know, you're going to say that's a different animal but... it's all YAHOO), are so slow and totally unresponsive. I don't even try anymore. -

I agree with all of the complaints about it being slow and hope you will fix that, but I want to tell you one thing I really like about it that I just tried out tonight. The way you have made it possible for us to find documents and photos from the emails is great. I found things I had lost from my computer and was able to retrieve them from the emails and saw many pictures and documents I did not even remember.
