The new yahoo is too slow and cumbersome!!!!!! How did yahoo foul this up so badly! OMG, I'm ready to find a new email provider

    just when we thought they could not make yahoo mail any harder to use they prove us wrong. today they would not let me access my email for several hours, then ti is so slow if it was any slower it would go backwards.

    Select an email and it can't bring it up and says to try again. When I try again, the same thing happens. Very slow. Then says it can't delete the conversation when I try to delete message.

    I agree with the top comments but I will repeat, very slow, moving items is chaotic,, highlights unwanted files, text becomes double spaced when pasted. Lots of flaws, did you even test it? Want my old version back, how do I get it?

    YOU CAN IMPROVE YAHOOMAIL BY GOING BACK TO THE OLD YAHOOMAIL ......IT,S REALLY MESSING UP MY MAIL I BEEN FINDING ALOT OF MY PERSONAL MAIL IN MY SPAM WHICH ALWAYS GOES INTO MY INBOX. THIS MICROSOFT IS REALLY SCREWING UP MY MAIL BIG TIME HOW DO I UNINSTALL IT? I JUST WANT MY OLD MAIL BACK . LAPTOP IS FREAKING RUNNING SO **** SLOW .......YOU NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS........I AGREE WITH EVERYONE HERE....

    1) It is too slow to get to Contacts and New Contact.
    2) In Compose / To: field, when I go to the trouble of typing in a new address with a label, e.g. <FirstName LastName> aaabbb@anymail.com, I expect them to be automatically added to contacts. Other addresses are automatically added to Contacts with far less direction on my part ( and many of them I wished had not been auto-added).

    Why is it sooo slow to respond to my typing? I pay for the ad free email so I don't expect to have to be so patient to type my emails. I also hate that it automatically opens the next email in the list if I delete or move an email. It gets marked as read and if I didn't notice and actually read it I"m missing important emails. This is not an improvement. Come on - fix it.

    I have been facing very poor performance. it takes time to load the mail and it doesn't react immediately to perform any action. I have to wait for few seconds to work with the mails.
    its dam slow, but when I see gmail it is really good to work with emails.
    need to be improved (performance wise),its taking minutes to recieve the mail to the other person,i have never this kind of performance

    I agree with many of the comments here and will be switching back to classic. Very slow, nothing is more convenient, and there are a few places that really need it. After a couple of weeks of trial, I am ready to go back.

    I have been a user for numerous years, I do believe it's time for your to stop providing such poor service! Very slow responses, my saved emails disappear, program shuts down for no reason at all. Maybe it's time to consider your losing users due to poor performance. Please fix!

    1) Fix the speed... it's slow
    2) When returning to an original email after sending a reply the original is completely highlighted
    3) The first email in the Inbox is not visible on the list and must be accessed by clicking on the top/second one and spacing up
    4) When an email is sent sometimes it takes a day to appear in the "sent" box.
    5) You really should stop trying to improve and redesign and simply fix what is wrong and then lock the door!

    new email is quite slow, and am having issues
    but I don't understand what is the difference between classic and new email in options or performance abiltieis.. can someone explain

    It is getting worse and worse. Difficult to navigate, slow, ugly and not user friendly. Only reason I use it is because of the long history I have with yahoo email.

    here is a tip from me - hire a new web designer and a new team of developers. there are so many qualified people looking for a decent job out there.

    Drag and drop is NOT responsive.

    I have to try several times before the emails were actually 'collected' by the cursor, then when I moved to the folders to 'drop' it, the 'collection' didn't even carry over. Lather rinse repeat.

    I tried to tick them first before 'collecting' to drag and drop, still not responding.

    And not only that, every time I tried to drag, it ended up opening the mail instead of dragging it.

    And the speed of the email being highlighted is super slow.

    Moving the cursor for 'dragging' over to the folders also super slow.

    What is wrong with Yahoo email? Slow as can be to load emails, and now I cant send attatchments in emails anymore. The flipping site times out before the pictures even load.
    guess after all these years of having my email, I am going ot have to use another site, this really stinks.

    Go back to the old one. I hate this new site. It is just sooooooooo slow that I am loosing the will to life. It is impossible to use and I am therefore now considering another provider. Why did you have to mess with something that was working just fine. I am not a complainer but just so frustrated that I had to act before I explode.

    Go back to old style mail as this is totally useless and i shall be scrapping Yahoo if it continues.
    I have Yahoo mail on my phone and now keep getting asked to sign into either depending on which i'm using, WHY can i not use both at the same time??
    It is now so slow its like the old dial up.
    I work as a model and photo's sent for my approval will now not download as a group which means downloading every photo individually.
    I have used Yahoo mail for many years but i'm now looking for a alternative because its now pathetic.

    The new format is AWEFUL - it's way too slow loading the emails, loading the drop down box to file, and all the other posts listed should indicate to you that it's terrible!!!
    Also, I don't understand why I have to go through "...about three clicks..." to switch back when it only took one to get this absolutely horrible version!

    This new email is awful. Very slow. When I click on contacts it takes me back to old style. Come on, Yahoo. I'm getting ready to switch my primary email if you guys can't get this together.

    New format is so bad, it made me open a gmail account

    1. Very slow especially when uploading attachments. 2. feedback covers buttons on the left. I can't even see the progress of my upload. 3. sending took forever. the whole thing is an absolute mess right now.

    Why don't you leave well enough alone. The old e-mail was fine and out performs the new one. The new e-mail is slow, doesn't send my e-mails, it high lights all the content and says it sends my e-mails and when I look at the indication that the e-mail was sent, the indicator says it didn't. Terrible just Terrible
