lost my password.
One can no longer recover one's password. All that's available is having a code sent to one's phone and then typing in the code. This has locked me out of my netflix account as it keeps asking for my yahoo password (it's linked to my yahoo account.) I am in the process of moving all of my important email out of yahoo and into gmail. Then I will close this account. Extraordinarily stupid, not to mention it's discriminatory towards people without smart phones (like my mother).
If you need to reset your password, you can follow our online system here:

If you can’t sign into an account and are unable to recover it online, we offer phone support through our Yahoo Account Pro service:
https://productcentral.yahoo.com/products/yahoo-account-pro-help/?ncid=mbr_ryhacqdis00000015If you’re seeing a prompt to get a code each time you log in, you may need to turn Account Key off:
https://help.yahoo.com/kb/account/sln25921.html
Finally, if you feel your account has been compromised, you can follow these steps to secure it:

On my personal computer, when I select existing yahoo mail account to sign in, it again asks for username (which I have already selected in previous screen). This is unnecessary extra click. Selecting a particular account should directly prompt the user to enter password.

Ha--
After I sent my idea, I found the "Change Password" button. It is really simple. When you sign in, lie and say you forgot your password. They will send you a code to log-in. Enter the code and it will show you the "Change Password" button. Sad to have to change your password that way, but it works. -

I have seen all the comments asking how to change a password. They are sending you a message, and you aren't listening. You tell us changing our password often is important. Here's an idea: put a button on the window "Change Password." It can't be any simpler than that. Until then, I will live with my password because currently the gain isn't worth the pain.

I can't remember my password, I change it, y'all say it's wrong. It's not wrong so why won't y'all accept the password I JUST NOW changed it to? This happens every time.

There should be two tabs in settings-- (1) to change password and (2) how to secure account if you think it's been hacked. I hate dealing with electronic devices because anything that goes wrong has to be looked up by reading dated articles on the internet and watching an endless stream of dated YouTube videos. I'm not going to settings because I care about the color of the border on my email. Come on, geniuses. Give us simple minds a break.

With the new format, why is it so difficult to reset my password? In this day and age where resetting your password frequently is highly recommended (due to security concerns which HAVE affected Yahoo! in the past), why must you make it so difficult to find a setting for password reset? I still haven't found it!!!
