Contacts hard to find, edit, alter, and delete
Since the new changes it has become much more difficult to search and edit or delete a single contact. It would be very helpful if a dropdown menu were available to search by several choices such as ending email address or last name or company. partial name, with the ability to select the item and go to edit.

There is an icon to the far right of my screen to access contacts and nothing happens when I press it. Also, while sending an email, when editing the send to list and selecting a contact, though there is a link to edit the contact, nothing happens when pressing it. Please help! I have additions and deletions to my contact list that need attention! Thanks!

Can't enter new contact or update one without entering date of birth and anniversary, This is ridiculous. I am one step away from switching 100% to gmail.

Classic Mail does not support the creation of new address lists. There is no create new list function . I tried creating a list in new mail but it did not appear in classic mail when I switched back. Why remove a feature you already had?

What ****. You can barely use contacts in this horrible system. How could this possibly be an improvement from your tech people. Verizon is pushing Yahoo downhill fast. Time to convert over to Outook or Gmail while there is still data to convert. It appears you are intentionally working hard to kill this once great product.

when I do maint. on the contact list, the changes are made on the edit list but when you go into the email area and try to select a contact from the drop down list, the data is not the newly edit data but the old data??? WHAT IS HAPPENING??????????????????????????

This is so accurate. I just wrote a similar comment. It is also very difficult to add or delete contacts from lists. I deleted a contact from a list and it deleted the entire contact! The two systems- regular and basic, don't seem to communicate. I don't know how to ADD contacts to lists in the main system, so I switched back to basic. The contacts I had taken OFF the list remained on it in the basic system. When I clicked "delete" to remove them, the whole contact was deleted. BTW: I am switching to Gmail because although it used to be more difficult to use than Yahoo, now it is easier.
This whole system is TERRIBLE. -

My idea- bring back the old mailbox. Why do you spend hours and money creating a more difficult design? I have trouble adding new contacts; I have trouble adding contacts to lists. The small contacts column on the right is difficult to read. It is RIDICULOUS. The basic version is easier to add contacts but there doesn't seem to be a way to add contacts to lists. The whole thing, both updated and basic, is more difficult to read and navigate.
Not that anyone reads these, or cares, but I am switching back to Gmail. It used to be more difficult than Yahoo; now it is easier. Goodbye, at least for some of my e-mail that I need to gather in one place, with contacts on a list. -

Impossible to edit contacts...need to delete an email from a contact. Google refers me to options that don't exist. Need to be able to edit contacts!!!

The more I try to work with my contact, the more frustrated I get. I understated some of the strong wording used in these comments. Please at least give us step-by-step instructions.

There are so many problems with new version of contacts. I’m constantly corresponded to customer service or specialist. So far, none of them can help at all. I used to be analytic computer programmer and can’t believe that software engenderers or ITS still can’t fix anything.
My suggestion about delete contact
I have all contacts or I think so because Yahoo lost not just some my contacts but even some groups I’m running CPANYS group for PWD and listserv.
So far, there is NO WAY to delete contact from group. It deletes permanently!
What if engineers create trash can on the line where contacts (I saw that now on basic mail they have it) and if person click on trash, email deletes just from that group, but not PERMANENT!

The old email was so EASY to add a contact, delete saved incorrect contacts, edit a contact when someone updates their email address, etc. Now, it is impossible to add new contacts or to edit existing ones. I literally cannot figure out how to do this! It's ridiculous! I've been using email systems since the very first ones that ever existed and it's always been easy until now. PLEASE FIX THIS!
